My point, epirb, is that the land was promised to Abram by God. As their are many cultures and many different deities worshipped on this planet, "because God told me so", surely does not stand up in a court of law.

Even though it was won and lost in many conquests over the millennia and was not the original homeland of the ones who it was given to.
