I thought you had mentioned giving back us lands to the original inhabitants just as hypothetical example, yet some people here took it by the face value
You don't know ? you must be a product of the NZ left wing education system . Last time it was promised to the Jews was during the first world war by the English , problem was they promised it to the Arabs as well . It was called the promised land ever since Ab had to leave for health reasons .

My point, epirb, is that the land was promised to Abram by God. As their are many cultures and many different deities worshipped on this planet, "because God told me so", surely does not stand up in a court of law.

Yes, they did, and didn't even realise the parallels I also don't think they realise that anti-Semitic is also anti-Arab. So much hate and so little intelligence does not a fine argument make.

Albertaghost: Which part I wonder as you did not specify anything.
The first part where the Jews and Palestinians both resided there is true so can't be that one. The second where the UN made Resolution 181 giving each party enough land to form a nation is also true and historical fact so can't be that one and, that the Palesti9nians sided with the Arab League to make war on Israel after they themselves refused the conditions that the offer of the land and nationhood came with is also true.
the part where you state that the original occupants were Jews and Palestinians.

Albertaghost: While the term's etymology might suggest that antisemitism is directed against all Semitic peoples, the term was coined in the late 19th century in Germany as a more scientific-sounding term for Judenhass ("Jew-hatred"), and that has been its normal use since then""
I am rather not persuaded by Germans, but by accuracy.

God , who said anything about god . I don't believe in god and would not ever use "a god" in debate about anything real . The jews were hounded out with a sword and now they are back in their own country . Too bad for those mad mullers and the leftwing types .

They never had a country. And if you do not understand that the only reason they have Israel now is directly because Abraham was promised the land of the Canaanites by his God. Whether or not you believe in God is not part of the issue here. In fact, what you believe in matters very little.

Albertaghost: Potty mouth. Seen you before I do believe.
Here, how about this, instead of anti Semitic as the rest of the world refers to those who are bigoted against Jews, we shall just refer to those who are bigoted small minded trolls as pieces of crud. Suit you better?
Only idiots say 'potty mouth' Doesn't bother me what you call me as long as its true, methinks you are the bigoted small minded one. And that, DEAR, is rather pathetic, especially coming from such a great place as Canada, a land I thought produced free thinkers and humanitarians. not you ay.

Albertaghost: Think you have it all in a knot yourself what with Abraham and omitting millennium between dear.
If you stop and have a little think, luv, you will realise what a great and interesting thing it is, that the millennia in between, as you so rightly point out, has not stopped said Promised Land being taken from one race and given to another. Even though it was won and lost in many conquests over the millennia and was not the original homeland of the ones who it was given to. THAT, deary is the interesting thing about this whole debate. The Hebrew God, and the United Nations.

Only idiots attempt to change the meanings of accepted phrases and prattle on about religious matters in a political forum to denigrate one side in order to obfuscate their bigotry.

Please explain where you believe the Jewish people came from if Israel was not their homeland and, while you are at it, please explain where you believe the Palestinian People came from if not there.
godfish22: sorry the above post was meant for epirb.
you seem to be in pickle , where do you think jews are native , seems you would be only to happy to give USofA to the natives but not Israel to the Jews . Could this be a little forked tongued .Oh, I see , you use god in your name . I understand now why you can't see whats real and whats not .

godfish22: Abram was born in Ur of the Chaldees I believe.
And your proof of this is where? A religious book or historical fact?
And, while I have you providing insightful answers, where are the Palestinians from and where is their history going back the three or four thousand years you speak of?

Seeing as Judaism is a religion, then of course a religious book, which can also be argued as historical fact, obviously a fact when Israel is alive and exists in the 21st century!!!

Loosely put, Abram/Abraham was the first Jew.
And the people themselves? As for fact, Judea was a nation albeit a small one however, it did exist and, Palestine never did exist as a country.

Good lesson from Goebles, repeat a lie a thousand times, some people will take it as a fact.

godfish22: Anyway, just wanted to point out that religion and politics is still very much hand in hand even in this day and age.
Good day, sirs. Please do your homework if you wish to discuss middle eastern politics next time.
Lol from the lady who didn't know Judea existed as a ntion.
Thanks but I'll wait for you to catch up prior to assigning you new studies.
Oh, and what is your view on the religion of Palestine and their self proclaimed right to own the land as an Islamic waif? Myself, I say let them do what they wish to do however, seeing as how they were only afforded part of that land and still wish all of it despite having given up on agreeing to the UN Resolution 181 why should they be able to own all of it I wonder.

Philistine/Palestine. Judah came AFTER the Canaanites, AFTER Abraham. The People are all Abraham and Sarahs sons and daughters and his other wife after she died. That is where the Jewish people started. There was no land, only land they conquered, as everyone conquers land. Except 20th century Israel was not conquered, it was given by the United Nations by taking it from the Arab occupants, hence the unhappy sentiment towards Israel and perhaps the United Nations of the Arab neighbours around it. In a nutshell. Are they wrong to feel this way?? Or does it make me "Jew Hater" to ask?

Now you revise yet again! Not the same thing at all and, they can't even be traced whatsoever dear!

You cite the bible. Try citing Roman history which is one heck of a lot more historically accurate.

So if it was alright to take it from the Jews who were forced out why is it not alright in your book to reclaim it from the Palestinians who were forced out while the Jews were gone?
