I would love to experience the people and culture of a new city rather than sleeping in a 5 star hotel, eating American food, and going to all of the tourist attractions. I hope to do that very soon.

I hate big cities. I won't go into the reason why as it's been posted several times in the past.
After leaving NYC back in 1982, I swore I wouldn't set foot in another large city. I was in the US Coast Guard at the time and had been stationed at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.
I went into Boston a couple of weeks ago with my first ex wife to see our youngest son off for Marine boot camp. I didn't like being in that city and hated being near the ex even more

So, for you better is a small city with new found love.
I have been all over Europe & a few times to the USA but later this year will visit Asia for the first time. Not sure yet if it will be Vietnam, Thailand or Hong Kong but looking forward to seeing Asia for the first time
