I have found that secrets are often kept to protect others. If asked a direct question which would necessitate divulging said secret........I may or may not lie, that would be weighed up at that particular time. These are burdens carried and choices made throughout life. Being an imperfect person, I try to understand the imperfections in others.

I once knew something that I thought the person knew that I knew all along. So naturally when they asked me if I know anything about them, I told them. Yikes!..wrong answer. Now I have been banished to Siberia.
I think any one who has lived has secrets, nothing wrong with that, we all have a past, if some one tells me their secrets, they will never be divulged, some secrets are to protect others. I hate lies, but I guess we all do it to some extent, some times for the right reasons some times not. But none of us are perfect.
solitare: Strange and somewhat funny in an ironic fashion is that all of the 'alphabet agencies' in whatever language and alphabet, is that they really are all the same...yes, very weird indeed. The credo is that all truths are lies and that is the truth is almost the truth... The reality lies between Dali and Disney.
Ive often found that the lies are in the telling and the truth is hidden in silence..
aahhh...'lies' or 'white' lies, or those by omission..
i think sometimes, some folks have to present themselves differently at work, compared to how they behave away from the job; act differently, speak differently, perhaps even dress differently. when does this stop being a different aspect of oneself and become a misrepresentation of one's self, a double life?

I like to think I taught them how to use their imaginations
