Godsgift: It is in giving that we receive It is in dying that we are born into eternal life.
Living in an eternal life, sounds a little tiresome. Will we ever rest in peace? It almost sounds like just another job, like life. & I am so grateful for each and every moment, big or small.
For those of you not sure of what "Pay It Forward" is, one example could be: If I lent you Twenty dollars, instead of you paying me back, do something good for someone else in need of something, weather you know the person or not

So you don't pay someone back and then you tell that person you're not doing so because you did something nice for someone else who they don't even know?
And people believe this?
What a luxury it must be to be so frivelous with money. This would never work where I live in a million years.
I might do it - but if I talked about it, it wouldn't count because the selfless element would vanish and I'd possibly be accused of bragging or promoting my "goodness".

YES! Giving is the Action of Loving One Another, expecting Nothing in return except that they Pass it on to others.
What a Wonderful World this would be if everyone would Pay it Forward!!!
Here's the link to the full movie, "Pay it Forward" for those who have not seen it.

With all due respect, but it would, because it would become infectious and everyone would begin to do it. It is mainly what is lacking in our world. Perhaps at the time of lending, you could state: PLease don't repay me, pay it forward. Lending money was only an EXAMPLE!!! There are millions of ways to help others and hoping for the next person to "pass it on"
In my job i usually end up with a lot of spare computer parts, if the parts are too old or i dont have the parts i need i usually buy what i require and build computers that i give to the less fortunate families whose children need computers for school work and provide I.T. support for them free of charge.

Hey DjW....EXACTLY Brother!! That's what it's all about! Every day I get "BOHICA'd" in one way or the other, but...I try and always find some little thing to pass ahead that I would never expect back,....instead, I want the other person to simply..."Pay It Forward"! Keep up the great giving. If I can be of any help let me know!
It's a beautiful film bearing a beautiful message.
Never seen the film.
Totally understand 2WhiteDoves thread.
Always "pay it forward" ....
Not because I don´t pay my debts or I´m frivolous as someone suggested, but because that´s how the laws of the Universe seem to work. Someone "does me a good deed" because they can and want to, instead of keeping it small and "between us" so they might expect "a good deed from me", the paying forward means expanding wider by "doing a good deed for ANYONE" who needs it, because you can and you want to ...

This should simply paying it forward. The shopping carts at the grocery store where I live are all hooked together. I have to a quarter into the handle on the cart to free up the cart so I can use it. When I'm done shopping I take the cart and my gorceries to my car and after I put the groceries in my car I then take the cart to a holding place in the parking lot and when I connect it to other carts, I get my quarter back. Sometmes someone doesn't have a quarter so I give them my cart before I return it to the holding place where they are hooked together.
What usually happens with me is when I'm putting groceries in my car someone walks past me and I ask them if they need a cart and if they say yes I give them my cart, with the quarter in it, and ask them to pay it forward and they usually say "I will".

A great idea and a very good film with a message...
Ive done it a few times myself (in offering my service skills) with total strangers, theres something about seeing the look of genuine suprise on peoples faces as you say "pay it forward"...As it sits with me, the gift is its own reward...
I have no idea if the people i have helped advanced the help they recieved, but id like to think the simple act made them think beyond "deeds for return"...
