The notion that God can be blasphemed is totally ridiculous. The notion that he can get his/her "feelings" hurt by anything we do or say is a blasphemy in itself. Not that a God would care one iota....
These laws are concocted by the powers that be as they decide what might hurt Gods feelings. Purely for control and power.

GUZMAN1: In these cases pakistani laws are not the problem but pakistani fanatical crowds. Dangerous to be a Christian in Pakistan, or a non-Muslim, or just a moderate Muslim.
The good news is that the Imam who promoted these persecutions against Christians (which caused hundreds of refugees who have needed to flee for their lives) will be charged with blasphemy because it was he who mixed the Koran pages in the papers that the Christian girl used to light a fire in her kitchen.

What about them? IN most countries in the West there is no death penalty for "blasphemy". I can burn the Quran, Bible and whatever flag I want in this country and people will just laugh at me. If I make it a large public thing I might get done for causing minor civil unrest. There is some law here for blasphemy that probably carries a typically limp wristed sentence. But I won't get the death penalty for it.
You'd do well to be a man and stop defending the indefensible and agree that this death penalty provision is wrong. You'll get more respect for that. So be a man. And stop trying to deflect the argument. It shows bad.

Getting away from the question myself, I wonder sometimes if everyone tends to butt in to things we do not understand? Some of these things may seem backwards to us but make perfect sense to those that live there. I am speaking in general now, sure it is not cool to be locking folks up over opinions, however, that in itself is an opinion meaning; in that country those are the rules and everyone is aware of those rules good,bad or indifferent. If one does not like the rules attempt to change them at a higher level, or better yet, find a way to get out. But no where is perfect, no where....

In the USA figures published by the US Justice Department show that 85% of serious violent crime is committed by the roughly 3% of the population who fit the description of 'young black male' and most of the remaining 15% of crimes are committed by Mestizo invaders.
Here in Australia the 1.5% of the population who are MIddle Eastern Muslims account for an estimated 50% of organised crime, according to the New South Wales Police Crime Intelligence Unit.
Organised crime and claiming welfare are the only things at which the Middle Eastern Muslims are overachievers.
