I wouldn't say she has to make the first move, but I think she should at least give a clear signal that she is interested as well. And No we don't take subtle hints.. we don't usually notice those

Whack him round the head with your handbag and drag him by the hair back to your lair - works for me!!
Is not a smile, a glance, a subtle touch,.....the "first move"? The first to say hello? The first to suggest more,....a coffee, a dinner, a mud-wrestling match at 3:00 A.M.,...to go fishing at the break of dawn? To settle down and get married?
Once again, I must ask,...what do you mean by "first move"?

Now the question basically "black or white". And here I over-complicated the whole situation,....WHAT? How dare you break a knight forward on your first move! lol
I was going to do a thread about this but I'll post my question here instead.
Say if the woman does/did makes the first move and asks the guy that she's interested in for a first date would said woman be obligated to pay for the date?

Cc.. why would anyone ask someone else out (for drink, dinner, submarine races, whatever) and expect the other person to buy? That sounds so democrat!

Great question cin! She should not feel obligated,...but should be prepared to, for it was indeed her move. But hey, a gentleman would probably beat you to the moment!

That's crazy imo! ...... unless she's asking someone like her dad, brother, finance, husband... someone you barely know... not

Far from it in my world! I always offer if I feel financially capable, to pick up the tab. If they smile and say that they asked and it is their obligation, then I smile and garner a great deal of respect for them but I will always offer. Someone you barely know? Hell,...aren't you on a date? I have been known to buy a cup of coffee for a complete stranger in a bus station waiting to catch a ride.
I always wait for the man to make the first move that way I get a free meal out of the deal and if he's especially nice, he will get his just dessert...win, win situation.

lol! Yup,...but I don't date those. Its a "date" that is in question,..be it romantic, corporate, work-related, amongst friends,....hey,...I am always willing to pick up the tab, simply because in my crowd we end up in a bench-clearing brawl as to who is going to pay! LOL! Bottom line,...I never expect to have anyone pick up my tab and am always pleasantly surprised when it happens!

2intrigued: Canadian women know how to keep men warm on those cold nights...we have no choice cuz it's bloody cold over half the year.
SSShhhh woman! If word ever got out about Canadian women we Canadian men wouldn't be able to keep back with all the sticks in northern Saskatchewan! (And yeah,...gotta love the cold!)

No worries hun, they wouldn't want to live up here in cold country anyway...save the sticks for the fireplace...nobody's coming.
