Cheap, handy, tasty and filling.

I had a suspicion someone would ask the question about ham....

Once upon a time there was a sandwich, his name was Cecil (as in Cecil the sandwich), it was a lovely day in Latvia, and Mr Chicatillo was wondering how to improve life for the inhabitants of his small village community...
Now, in such tales, there is always the artistic licence for a talking sandwich, and Cecil was one such sandwich...'Ham' cried Cecil, Brilliant cried Mr Chicatillo, and so it was so....the birth of sam hamwidges, but cheese was not impressed, the ham and cheese wars of the late 19 centuary put the cheese and ham 'hybrid' on hold untill the cheese and ham treaty of versaiies (it was done under the disguise of a post world war treaty to alley suspicion of cheese supremacist councils abhorant dislike of any kind of cheese tainting), of course, such things now are a distant memory and cheese and ham can share the same pieces of bread and children and adults the world over can smile in the knowlegde they are getting world beating nutrition without the threat of gun usage in the dairy aisle between one time sworn enemies....
