I briefly dated one of my best friends about 3 years ago. He was in love with me, but I just tried because he was such a nice guy. Sadly, I wanted to finish it, and couldn't think of a way. Next thing, I find out I am pregnant by my ex husband. My boyfriend tried to get me to stay with him, saying he would bring up the baby as his own, but I wanted out. He still loves me after all this time, and really doesn't like my son because he feels he is the reason we split.

No, it wasn't mutual. We were just friends...very good friends...but just friends...then he complicated things by wanting more than I was willing to give this individual...You can't force emotions that aren't there...
Sheesh...Due to that, our friendship went into a steep decline...and evaporated...
