Yes indeed, single means differing things to many people. My understanding of the word being unmarried or divorced and having no partner.

Ahh! I know right?! I met this guy about two weeks ago and honestly I wasn't going for romance just chatting and getting a feel so to speak. Then I started entertaining the idea of maybe building a friendship that would maybe possibly eventually you know lead to something in the regions of heading towards a romantic shindig. Then to my utter mortifying horror, his WIFE decides to e-mail me and ask me to please back off and leave her husband alone! Like I was the one chasing him!
