Sometimes, members are just trying to uphold a conversation to prevent 'dead calm'. A few questions spread-out over the course of a few days, seems to suite everyone, instead of dozens of questions in one day.
yes it does feel like a job interview BUT them ones are scammers real people dont email you and want to know such things.. i met real people here and we talk on the phone and dont get into personal info we meet face to face to do that..

It might seem so but with so many scammers people have to take their cautions.
What I would do is -once we both are interested- to ask for his land's phone and I give him a call, at least to know he is in that place -country- and call him now an then just to check. He could do the same.

It's a typical male, and to a lesser extent female, response to ask a load of questions as a means of forcing rapport. Not that there's anything wrong with asking questions, but there is when it comes with that whole joyless/scripted vibe.
