pedro27: statistics say 50% of smokers will die from a smoking related disorder.

Hi Pedro, your comments have been excellent in my view. You have recognized the differences of smoking and vaporizing.
There are many harmful substances in this World,i feel i have found an alternative that may actually not even be harmful to me.

But why not just stop smoking? I am really curious, why swop one for the other?

Jaymack: Please don't confuse smoking with vaporizing, yes and a lot of people did say a lot of things

I fear it is you who is confused. I in fact made a clear distinction between smoking and vaporizing which you will realise if you take a few deep breaths and read what I wrote again.

Jaymack:
Evidence please that E Cigs or even Nicotine do you any damage

I never said they did. Again, take some deep breaths and read what I wrote.

Jaymack:
Just to say also i'm feeling good.

You might want to check your calibration of feeling good because your perception is 180 degrees off. At least you didn't manage to twist what I wrote into 'proof' of 'misogyny'. That's a first on here

I wasnt asking why someone would stop smoking, I was asking why use a replacement, why not just stop smoking?

The withdrawal from nicotine can be severe. It's also a mood stabaliser for some people. The really go off the rails without it.

Can you please answer the question I have asked a few times now, why did you chose to move to another addiction rather than stop one?

It's the same addiction, just a different, less dangerous delivery method.

It is the same addiction, not another one, the addiction to nicotine, just in a different way.

Ok, so I worded it incorrectly.

Why chose one form of addiction to replace the other?

Cutting out smoking of course is a good thing, what I am curious about though is if a person decides to quit why not just do that?

I never tried any of the nicotine replacements. I just gave up one day and never smoked again. It was bloody tough though, especially for the first few months.

I see your point and that would be the ideal.

Smoking is a horrible habit and it is damned hard to give up. The health risks from inhaling burning tobacco into the lungs are well documented. But even though we all know how dangerous it is, people struggle to give up smoking.

I dunno Glat, if this way of giving up smoking cuts down on the health risks and gives people a better chance of good health I would be all for it.

Maybe when they give up smoking they can then have a go at giving up the E cigs.handshake

So they have to give up 2 addictions rather than 1 really.
