So you meet someone and everything looks great. A couple weeks down the line, you realize 100% perfect has become 90% perfect. Some flaws you take in your stride - 90% is 90%, after all, you kissed a lot of frogs to get that close. But what tips 90% to a failing mark?
We're a fussy bunch, I think. Sometimes it can be a tiny thing. I'm less fussy than I was, probably only the lack of pulse would make me give up. But on the bright side, no pulse, no snoring ...

No one is perfect and I think if I get to know someone too well socially/as a friend, forget about it.
I think I need some sort of rose tinted glasses to look over some quirks of himself and to get used to them in the start. I did have it that I liked someone and got to know him over a long period of time as a friend, and the heart flutter got squelched out.
Ccincy: Nowadays I wonder whatever happened to old saying "Accept me for all my flaws or not at all kinda thingy.Don't hear that much anymore. If they want someone who is perfect maybe they should buy themselves a blown up doll but I'll bet they could probably find a flaw or two there too.

Yeah, how weird is that, it has happened to me too, you like someone too much to fancy him!

Not to mention that old joke of the guy complaining he bit his doll on the butt, she farted in his face and flew out the window ...

One guy laughed too loudly. I couldn't stand it, I started cringing when anyone told a joke. We became buddies eventually and the laugh doesn't bug me at all. but no left

This wasn't a joke.I knew of a guy who had bought a blown up doll and when he went to deflate her he had forgotten to close his window and she blew out the window.

Wow, that's a man who has bad luck with his dates!! ROFL dumped by a blowup doll
I had a date with a very nice man,,we got on good chatting and having a laugh then we had something to eat and he was eating with his mouth open and then trying to talk while eating too,
Was a big turn off,
So I had a second meet with him but I didnt go for something to eat with him.

I still like him and enjoy spending time chatting to him as a friend, but I just know him well enough to know that a relationship simply wouldn't work.
Nothing wrong with him (or me I hope), we just have too different ideas what we want in a relationship.

I actually rather like tweed caps. But okay, not crazy about the ones with peaks and logos, especially when twisted round backwards

Yes the same special occassions and a Lady has a nice hat that compliments her features and dress....but you gets those turning up with a ruddy golfers cap on a fellar in a suit....
I recall a touching story about a man walking into his kitchen wearing muddy boots. A visitor comments on how much mud the boots bring in. The booted man's wife says "Yes, but they also bring him in."
That has never happened to me. All i ever got was the boot.
