Everyone Ive met online will seem to be interesting and maybe this is the one and then they read your profile closer and realize that all this time Ive been talking to a black man then you never hear from them again. I may even edit my profile so at least I could be white for them for a little while longer. So I think that if more real people get online, the sucess rate may be higher.

You see their pics (the best ones) You chat on line, you talk on the phone for hours on end, and get a pic in your mind what he is going to be like. Then when you've built them up to practically a little god, you meet him.......

I think the best thing should be a balance between races and culture. There are mostly white people on the site, unfortunately. I don't mind me a big black brother.

The very first time I met someone online in real life I wasnt too confident cos if Im honest with myself Im not very attractive lol, but we hit it off very well & dated for 3years, then in our 3rd year he disappeared on my birthday & I found out the next year he'd gone and gotten married on my birthday lol WHO DOES THAT?? maybe I was just that blinded.. Anyway my point is online people arent very dif from offline people if that makes sense

Surely if you made yourself visual by putting a pic of yourself people can decide from the beginning, a person can lie by omission. Sounds like you setting yourself up and blaming others for your disappointment.

I met a lady in Belleville near Ann Arbor back in 2007, we had a brief discussion and promised to stay in touch. However, I was kinda disappointed by what I saw & what she proposed. I wouldn't consider the brief encounter to be positive, hence I decided to call it quits with her. Prior to our meeting, we'd communicated for about a year after getting to know each other on CS. It was a wasted effort.
I wouldn't shy away from meeting another lady from a dating site, though.
