For a woman, yes, a total waste of time. It will not work, or if it will, she'll hardly get the treatment she wanted. For a man, that's what they have been dealing with for centuries, and with good results too if they're persistent enough!
Well, it may not necessarily be intentional. Personally I reserve my right to back out at ANY time at all, anywhere between the "getting to know you better" stage until the engagement, if I decide that something doesn't feel right. If that would be considered "games", then that's too bad!

I think anyone would know the difference between games and backing out.
Sometimes, if you can read between the lines - you might get the prise ......... and sometimes it's just that much more sweet when ya get the prise at the end .
