For a woman, yes, a total waste of time. It will not work, or if it will, she'll hardly get the treatment she wanted.

Well, it may not necessarily be intentional. Personally I reserve my right to back out at ANY time at all, anywhere between the "getting to know you better" stage until the engagement, if I decide that something doesn't feel right. If that would be considered "games", then that's too bad!
