I saw a poster Ad today in Dublin city centre by the company Intel, campaigning for a yes vote in the Lisbon treaty. Is this allowed? I thought businesses / companies etc. weren't allowed enter into this sort of thing??

I thought the same..but I don't know for definite.
Apparently Michael O'Leary (yes) and Declan Ganly (no) will be debating the treaty on Thursday night. I didn't hear what programme it's on but I assume it will be on Primetime.

You know the poll on here for Lisbon 1 was pretty accurate so this is starting to look interesting.
Also, in Scotland we get this same crap every general election...If you vote for indepenance then all these companies are pulling out!
kev147: Really ? i used to like michael o'leary but i thought he was shown up and embarrased last night
Maybe Kev but my first impressions of Michael O'Leary were that he seemed human, real and not full of prepared, robotic and negative responses unlike the other guy. I read his body language as 'bring it on' rather than embarrassment.....anyway he employs many hundreds of Irish people so is obviously a brilliant businessman and so at this time when Ireland is struggling very badly Id tend to listen to his views for change....the other guy, sorry I cant remember his name...my first impressions of him were English (I think)? Libertas? No? Nothing positive to offer.... JMimpartialO.....
Oh yes your right he is a brilliant business man no doubt about that and usually he is very witty and astute but i just thought last night he was out of his depth, all he kept saying was your a failed politician but didnt really back it up with any facts, id wonder about his self serving motives too, im not a fan of either by the way !!

I guess he was out of his depth a bit...he isnt a politician after all....and who was the other guy anyway?...maybe Michael O'Leary was just stating a valid point cos Id heard of Michael O'Leary but havent a scooby who the 'failed politician' is I just think at the end of the day can things get any worse for Ireland by voting yes? Or do Irish people want things to stay the same, bad as they are? Im glad I dont have to vote cos I really wouldnt know how to vote cos I find it all very confusing......dont know what to believe
