I am alone most of the time, but never lonely! I keep myself busy and active. I found that I enjoy my own company. I prefer to be with others and someone special, but that doesn't take away from me be a happy person. So sorry I am not lonely.

i used to feel when i was young.i was depressed a little for a bout 4 years,you know there is difference between feeling lonely and being alone.what i can say is there are some filters in mind which cause deppression.i suggest you to read a book by DAVID BURNS which explains these filters and also tell how to deal with it.you know i am from Iran ,i have grown in a an 8 years war,reveloution,i suffered fashism,and you know better what happened to us recently.the book i named,is a good and helpful source to fight the feeling of loneliness.good luck

There are somedays in which I think too much and feel lonliness.

I agree with Raven0. In my case theres something still stronger: I feel that the love and care I have in my heart I yould give it to someone who needs me sure but theres the romantic aspect in all of us which hasnt been used and this kinda hurts.

It is not a hardship to be lonely as long as you still have a life and things to keep you busy. Granted it would be wonderful to have someone to share things with, but I enjoy my own company and stay so busy that I can't find time to do all the things I would like to do. Lonliness is not something I live with on a daily basis.

I enjoy being with friends, but there are times when I am on my own that I do feel lonely........... that's when posting on CS makes me feel less alone!

Same here........... I waste time so as not to be left alone with my thoughts.
I think it's great to feel good about yourself and be 'ok' with being alone and there are times when I do need my own personal space............ BUT I prefer to be with somebody I love and who loves me than be on my own all the time.
Heck - I'm human, and humans were not meant to live alone!

Ok - so I'm luck and have lots of friends and some even fly here and visit me; it's not the same as being in love and having a partner - is it?
You know I lost the love of my life almost four months ago to the day.
It shook me to the very core of my being.
I know I have to regain my self-worth and fully heal before I can have another proper relationship.
No woman (or man) wants to be second best to a memory. I need to bury that memory a little more before I can properly live again.
