My spiritual beliefs keep me balanced. Sometimes if I stress over something, I clear my energies then I am better.

I don't try to forget about the poverty or distress of others less fortunate than myself, but I do not dwell on it.
What I try to do is educate my children about it so they can grow into more appreciate adults and hopefully at some point, will try to help those less fortunate.
Even now at the ages of 8 and 10 they see a street beggar and wish to help.
That gives me more satisfaction than just looking the other way or trying to forget about them.

Easy to say when you live in the USA with an infrastructure and resources to assist you....
Not being critical, but have yu ever looked at some of the poorer countries in the world, where such things do not exist, or where corrupition keeps people poor... Just try looking up Zimbabwee.... once a prosperous country... now poor with inflation at well over 1,000%.
Try and really imagine working your way out of the poverty of Darfur and then ask yourself whether you would still say the same thing.

Same here...meditate, smudge, use ting-shas, or exchange Reiki with a friend.
Or, just go get laid. That one works every time too.
