Depends on the job but i think it helps to make a good impression if you wear a suit. Better to look over dressed than under dressed in my opinion. Good luck with the interviewthumbs up

Absolutely yes. You need to convey a message that this job is worth making the effort for and in this climate you will be in competition with others. Any extra little thing means Brownie Points in my humble opinion.wave

don't think it matters what position you are being interviewed for, it's the initial impression that counts and if it's understood that you have made the effort to make a good impression, then you are in with a good chance .... they say that interviewers make an 80% decision within the first 5 minute of the interview .... good luck with it!! wave

Depends also on the suit, and on the level of "posh-ness" of the place, I would say.

If it's a well-fitting suit and worn with a good shirt and tie and shoes, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. However, if the suit is 20 years old, ill-fitting and whatnot, I'd say no.

Maybe a good pair of trousers, a shirt with a nice jumper over it (showing the tie underneath though, or an ascot) and a good matching jacket would be also advisable. Might even make a better impression than a suit, but again, that depends also on the "posh-ness" of the place.

My 2 p worth dunno

I think a tie would be recommended. Looks smarter for an interview than open-neck shirt.

And definitely not jeans.

Greenkeeping is a bit of an art. You tend not to get instant results. You're always thinking weeks and months down the line since grass doesn't grow overnight.

Let them see you're committed and reliable and you'll be fine. They won't know much about the technicalities of the job. I've a friend in Scotland who does the job and a more laid back man you will never meet. Knows every bump on the 8 rugby pitches.
