For along time....the entire 8 years of the Bush administration, offshore drilling was a industry that was going to pollute American shores, drive beach loving tourist to theme parks with its ugly views, and environmentally be a hazard to wildlife and marine life.
Today. President O has found solutions to these and is allowing off shoring drilling at most of America coastline. Maybe he ran out windmills?
Ahhhh what the hell.....It only takes 20-30 years to clean up an oil spill diasaster and the beaches should have been paved over anyway for the high rises. Wildlife is no problem, they can just go swim somewhere else....Drill baby drill.....
Alaska is one of the states, he released for drilling. Maybe Pres. O figures with Palin out of the Governor office there.....he can win Alaska's 4 electrol votes in 2012.

billyj1: I support offshore wind farms. The oil game is over man.
I support alternatives for energy, but the oil game is far from over.
We don't use oil and gas solely for energy, it has many other byproducts we seemingly can't live without. Plastics are a prime example, as is Cool Whip.
If the u.s. would keep the businesses here in the states where they belong there would be more people working ok to lower their expenses do away with the unions fair rates for all the employies less expenses for the businesses which is their reason for going over seas cheaper labor then maybe less backstabbing among employies.
Political Payback! Virginia, which he won, will be the first one to get Leases. The EPA can always strike down the others, like Alaska etc for Environmental Concerns! More Snakeoil,Smoke and Mirrors!
