Scary? I don't see anything scary about your pic at all.
As for dating/friends with foreign women, most of the women I've ever chatted with were from outside Canada. I don't see a thing wrong with it either.

Everybody gets them. I get email messages from 32 year old smoking hot babes..... I also get messages from others. You read them. You either delete, block or respond and wait for the one you are seeking.
Writing in the Forums is a good way to get attention. You have accomplished that. Maybe next time just seek attention without being negative. Good luck on your search. I do really wish you well.

Where do I sound negative ? I merely asked a question.
It was your choice to decide yourself to be in the "undesireable group"
one thing is when you talk to people of different ages in a forum. another thing is when you expect to meet people online and get your profile vieweed many times, get a few emails and most of them are from a gray-headed living somewhere on the other Cypres of Middle East.

I dont think that being a foreigner has anything to do with whether or not you get messages I think people get curious at look at peoples profiles or they think your attractive and look or they are to shy to say anything - I think men are more shy about making first contact then we woman think. I have people who seem to look everyday and never say anything etc. i think its just how these things work.
