Aside from the fact that you read your wife´s private mail
perhaps you both ought to sit down and talk about why each of you really feel the need to be on a dating site. There doesn´t seem to be much trust in the relationship as far as I can see.

As far as messaging others it looks like you're both doing the same thing.
You peeked at your wife's personal e-mail, that was not right but believe me most couples would do the same when in serious doubt.
She was angry because you peeked; so would I and she had every right to be.
Now both of you should sit down and have a serious talk.
Also make sure you both have safe passwords if you want to play games behind each other’s back and keep your messages confidential.
