The dollar is sick, but the euro is even sicker. Eurozone banks are close to exploding b/c they are extremely leveraged and with lots of toxic crap that they keep at mark-to-fantasy. I don't see Greece or Spain doing well in 2011; rather expect a 15-20% drop in their GDP, like what Ireland went through. The US may have a stagnant economy and zombie banks, but can still finance its (huge) debt for years to come; $ is the reserve currency and a safe-heaven due to US's geopolitical dominance.

Conrad73: According to Soros,Germany might be next!
German banks (as well as French) will take a big hit in the (almost certain) event of a sovereign defaults chain-reaction. Plus, Germany's exports may be boosted from the cheap euro, but they face lots of competition outside Europe from China and Japan, and will suffer inside Europe, since most EU countries will be in an austerity-deflationary mode. Yeah, the cuts give a bit more confidence that the countries can have sustainable long-term finances, but in the short term it's gonna be a Depression II. My opinion, as always
Conrad, thanks for the "Minni Me!" truth, to which I add,
While we know, and understand, Obama is a culmination of the worst presidents to make him the worst you need to understand his "Affirmation." He was not elected, but an affirmation of social policies that were required to produce a product of its failed, theoretic model. It has grown, progressed, not of the publics actions, the actions of this REPUBLIC, but of legislated controls imposed upon a public to control their behavior. The government knows best, and to insure you voluntarily assist your neighbor they decided to forcibly take those donations, and the public would feel SOOOOOOOOoooo Good, they were helping the least among us. Hell, even the major churches got on the band wagon, and have stayed there ever since, has it makes their requirement of assisting "the least among us" a free ride for them. Here are the worst despots leading up to our current form of despotic government.
Limitless welfare policies destined to destroy America "Wilson, avatar of "progressivism," was the first president critical of the nation's founding. Barack Obama's Wilsonian agenda reflects its namesake's rejection of limited government.
Lack of "a limiting principle" is the essence of progressivism, according to William Voegeli, contributing editor of the Claremont Review of Books, in his new book, "Never Enough: America's Limitless Welfare State." The Founders, he writes, believed that free government's purpose, and the threats to it, is found in nature....
Franklin Roosevelt, an alumnus of Wilson's administration, resolved to "resume" Wilson's "march along the path of real progress" by giving government "the vibrant personal character that is the very embodiment of human charity." He repudiated the Founders' idea that government is instituted to protect pre-existing and timeless natural rights, promising "the re-definition of these rights in terms of a changing and growing social order."
I'm going by your comments, Gary and from what I've read of them, they aren't kind nor very warmhearted if you will. We all get that you didn't have it easy- nor did I. I'm of mixed blood but look white. Have endured problems because of it and many other things.I suffered a stroke serving in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant during the first Gulf War, lost hearing in one ear and it took me two years to learn to how walk and speak again.I was medically retired because of it. I don't care to take out any troubles on others but instead prefer to listen and help if I can, even if it's only to listen and offer a comforting shoulder.
I'm asking you kindly, what's driving your responses? How can I help you?

*Chuckle* Must have struck a nerve. We all bear the suffering Private, not just you.Do learn not to put words into others' mouths (control freaks have such a bad habit about doing that) and do learn to spell correctly and to form complete sentences. We *have* witnessed as you inflict yourself into threads, exercising very threatening behavior if you don't get your way and if others' don't bow down to you, flinging about an opinion on everything whether it relates to the topic or not.And much of it not warm and fuzzy. We have borne this and we bear witness to it all.
