sideshowbob: It's easy to throw an opinion for countries like mine (New Zealand) that have just that, an opinion. Concerning McCrystal being sacked, that was inevitable, Obama was the second bar G. Washington to sack a commander in chief. History unfolding, as much as we laugh, criticize America we also acknowledge and appreciate Americas might. In other words..... New Zealand, Australia without American intervention could be speaking JAP, Obama so far in my opinion has taken risks especially considering banks/motor industry etc etc let alone trying to 'fix' a losing battle ie Afghanistan, Iraq thanks to G.Bush.
As I said, O'bama in my books is steering America in the right direction, he's been left with a clean up job as well as a legacy from G.Bush that has put America as allie-less.
I rate Obama as one of the most influential peace makers of the decade
I am not sure about the rest but this part I think is true and thank you for your acknowledgment....
Thank you both! Don't take this as an insult (I grew up in the USA): The english speaking empires seem to be the worst anyway (but who counts bodies in undeclared wars?), and I am particularly bias because english is my father language.

To put it in context, There is no way in hell that Bush would be welcome in NZ, O'bama is more than welcome, like I said before, I don't live in America so my opinion is mute but foreign policy regarding Obama gets a thumb up. Bush hasn't only isolated former allies he's created a drift, O'bama whether right or wrong under American policy concerning foreign affairs is most importantantly approachable, Bush's administration was arrogantly non approacable.

I personally am neather pro or anti Obama.... I will say this however...Obama has done more for me personally than all the rest of recent leaders....does this make him a great leader? this question remains to be seen as history reveils the out come of his term(terms) in office...

Considering under Bush's admin the 'great' G.Bush forced a war (invassion of a soverign state ie Iraq), he's not only created a hornets nest he's created factions within America's allies. Obama's payout package for America auto industry ie 'chev/GM' are now made in Oz and Canada exported to NZ, simply put.... countries wont import industries from another country that are opposed to ideoligies. The auto industry was Obamas main concern because with one chev, ford, chyrsler that rolls off the line you can bet your bottom dollar there's a royalty that's paid even if it is manufactured in another country. Under Obama he's putting the scrutiny of America's banks esp the CEO's, history in the making, the untoucable are now actually accountable.
I don't know because I only follow papers, I don't live in America so for all I kow I'm barking up the wrong tree but the fact remains that B.Madooff and his elk are serving time inside and according to D.Letterman he has 150.30.25 seconds (and counting) time left to serve

You probably know about it than i do.....I don't get into it..never have ...really does not interest me.....I only care about my place in the world...(thats not exactly true, but you see my drift)...if I fair better then I say keep him around for a bit longer ...if I fair worst ,I say give another a chance.....I will say this however....America NEEDS to do a few things as a country...
#1 We need to get away from the TWO party system
#2 We need to keep to ourselves more (yes that makes us singular but it works better for us)
#3 We need to close up our borders
#4 We need to stop worrying what our enemies think of us and worry more what our allies think of us
I could be wrong but I think we should try them for a bit and see what happens......
