To the OP. The civil war has been over for 145 years, you lost!

"Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson as (January 21, 1824 – May 10, 1863) was a Confederate general during the American Civil War, and probably the most well-known Confederate commander after General Robert E. Lee. His military career includes the Valley Campaign of 1862 and his service as a corps commander in the Army of Northern Virginia under Robert E. Lee. Confederate pickets accidentally shot him at the Battle of Chancellorsville on May 2, 1863, which the general survived, albeit with the loss of an arm to amputation. However, he died of complications of pneumonia eight days later. His death was a severe setback for the Confederacy, affecting not only its military prospects, but also the morale of its army and of the general public."

BTW your poll is absurd! The missing catagory is, Obama is one of the best presidents we've ever had.

They see clearly according to the capabilities of their senses, in turn diagnosed with the capabilities of their brain, their heart. When stuck on stagnant they compost in the midst of a warm pile, turned regularly to oxygenate. Most of the time, with the size of the growing pile, glimpses of light, and fresh air, are few, and far between. But damn, applied to the garden in the sping it does produce some fine vegetables. cheers

The previous another repeat of the propaganda network, the won Truth. There were so many facts in the speculative rhetoric. But of course, you could do some research,

"When you understand that the Democrats and Bush/Paulson Administration instituted mark to market accounting, then incurred help of Goldman Sachs the other “special interests” – the former fund managers that shorted MBS, who set up proprietary funds to drive oil prices up to collapse mortgage and loan affordability, knowing through Paulson that mark to market accounting would be imposed on the Private Sector. When you understand that these political and special interests, knowing the history of mark to market accounting behind both the Hoover/FDR 1929-1938 Depression and rise of the Third Reich in Europe, had no qualms at the loss of more than $10 trillion in Private Sector wealth. When you understand that this same regulatory policy is supported by Obama, when Wilson/FDR of our Era, supporting the same policies and intent at “Regime change.” Then it’s also easy to understand that there is a strong potential that Obama and/or the Democrat Congress, having driven down the value of BP shares and bonds, where even now Bank of America is saying that they will restrict credit to BP in 2011, could start the process to seizing and/or nationalization of oil and other major industry."

Just so you can study a bit more.

Aug. 15 (Bloomberg) -- "Billionaire investor George Soros bought an $811 million stake in Petroleo Brasileiro SA in the second quarter, making the Brazilian state-controlled oil company his investment fund's largest holding."

Obama Underwrites Offshore Drilling, "You read that headline correctly. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration is financing oil exploration off Brazil.

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a "preliminary commitment" letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount."

GOLDMAN SACHS PROFITS FROM OIL DISASTER/CAP & TRADE VOTE BY JULY 4TH TAKE ACTIONPosted by Kathryn McEwen on June 21, 2010 at 3:13am in General, Uncategorized Town Hall

"Looks like we are going to see the President push Cap and Trade (American Power Act), by using the Oil Spill Crisis.

What really disturbs us is that Goldman Sachs Shorted a huge sum of BP stocks weeks before the oil spill. Why did this happen. This does not pass the smell test. You will see some links below that show Goldman Sachs Sold 44% of its holdings in BP stock 2 weeks before the spill. Get this.....Tony Hayward (BP CEO) also sold 1.4 million pounds of stock in BP before the spill as well. How can this possibly be a coincidence?

Now here is the clencher.......Sen McConnel stated that BP helped write the majority of the Climate bill. Read paragraph number 3 in this report.

Obama didn't inherite anything. He fought for the right to fix problems so, let's gage him on how he has done rather than excuse his inablity to fix thos problems.

As for who is the worst, Davis and Lincoln for killing a million US citizens. Can't get worse than that I'm sure.

Bush - freed more people than all the world's leaders combined over the entire history of the earth.

A mountain in Afghanistan should be sculpted to imitate his likeness, odes will be sung to his bravery and a world holiday should be declared called 'Freedom Day' and, this should coincide with his birthday.

Oh, instead of singing praises to his liberation of fifty million people we can just sing 'Bushmas Carols.'

History has a few other President's as being pretty bad. Former Presidents Cleveland and Fillmore rank pretty low in history books.

Is Obama in their league? I don't know. Did history make a honest assessment of them? Or did the historical revisionists of the time get do a unfair painting of the two?

It is hard for us today....in the heated political moment....with our personal political leanings to be fair. To be objective.

But I think that is what democracy asks us as citizens to be. Fair and objective.

You can say...he means...to be FOX fair. No, I don't. I mean exactly that. For if you were sequesered to be a on a American jury, it is jury of your peers to judge a person's guilt in a accused crime. "Peers" means more than just of the same group. It entails,.....according to my Webster...."an equal, one of the same rank, value, quality, ability etc. he was judged by his peer"

So if we are going to judge a President...or any man...in public formum....we need to see ourselves as his peer or equal. I say few us of do. Rather we take our debate to happy face emoticon and snide remarks of the political opposition. President Obama does not speak or act with emoticon ...when he addresses a group of people. As many of us would like to think that is what is appearing on his teleprompter...he speaks sincerely to what he believes.

That is President Obama's oratory gift. He is a sincere man. We fail that sincerity here so often.

So we in public debate, asking "is he good or bad", we should at least put the same criteria in the debate as we have in criminal trial. Here are in our public court room, we seldom apply any fairness or sincerity to the debate. But strive to make point after point on a political opponent that is miles away on the net.

Nor am I saying that we should take President Obama to a criminal trial...with the quid pro qous....that his administraton have done.... but it is a question for courts to decide. Fair men can agree that there is a the appearance of wrong here. So let it be investigated and seen.

The FED government arrests and indites....IL Gov Blagovisch on doing a quid pro quo....on Obama's open Senate seat. Yes, asking for financial restitution for a making a government decision is a quid pro quo of a kind. Yet the Obama staff make a different kind of quid pro quo jobs, and nothing legally occurs.

In that, I see a disconnect of justice. Of fairness. Though again, Gov. Blagovich problems began under GWB FBI investigations.
Not the present administrations.

So now that I have brought GWB into the post. How many judge GWB with fairness and objectivity? Or would place him with Cleveland and Fillmore? Because of how he was painted by political opponents of the day?

6. Andrew Jackson
"It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes." - Jackson

Jackson's election showcased the rise of the common man to the office of the president. Jackson was a man of humble beginnings and with his rise he became the epitome of the American dream. His fame and popularity was enormous. Jackson's actions as a strong nationalist are evidenced by his controversial decisions to move the Native Americans during the Trail of Tears east of the Mississippi and his strong fight against the national bank.

7. Woodrow Wilson
"The history of liberty is a history of the limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it." - Wilson

Wilson was at the helm of control when America was brought into the national stage. Wilson's decision to enter World War I and away from isolationism were seen by many as violating Washington's tenant of avoiding foreign entanglements. However this was unlike any war that Washington had experienced and Wilson's hope of bringing the US into the League of Nations, later the United Nations was realized.

8. Harry S. Truman
"When even one American - who has done nothing wrong -- is forced by fear to shut his mind and close his mouth, then all of Americans are in peril." - Truman

Truman, was elected as the 33rd President and Truman entered into office during one of the most difficult times in American history. Truman made the decision to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Truman then organized the end of World War II and established firm precedents for the beginning of the Cold War.

9. James K. Polk
"No president who performs his duties faithfully and conscientiously can have any leisure." - Polk

With the exception of Jefferson, no other President has increased the size of the United States more than Polk. Polk arranged for the acquisition of New Mexico and California through the Mexican American War. Polk also claimed Oregon Territory after a new treaty with England. Polk stands for and embodies the U.S. notion of manifest destiny. Polk was also an extremely effective leader during the Mexican American War. Many historians consistently refer to him as the best one term president.

10. Dwight Eisenhower
"Every gun that is made, every warship that is launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed" - Eisenhower

Eisenhower's time in office was full of American prosperity and great economic gain. Eisenhower also provided key leadership used during the Cold War.

It's easy to throw an opinion for countries like mine (New Zealand) that have just that, an opinion. Concerning McCrystal being sacked, that was inevitable, Obama was the second bar G. Washington to sack a commander in chief. History unfolding, as much as we laugh, criticize America we also acknowledge and appreciate Americas might. In other words..... New Zealand, Australia without American intervention could be speaking JAP, Obama so far in my opinion has taken risks especially considering banks/motor industry etc etc let alone trying to 'fix' a losing battle ie Afghanistan, Iraq thanks to G.Bush.

As I said, O'bama in my books is steering America in the right direction, he's been left with a clean up job as well as a legacy from G.Bush that has put America as allie-less.

I rate Obama as one of the most influential peace makers of the decade
