If he is not native english speaker, he is not sure he will understand you or you will understand him talking.
I can write plenty and decently well, but I am not sure I can talk, especially on the phone when I don't know the person I find it stressful. when we meet in real life I eventually adjust, get less nervous and can talk.

I often wonder about a female i had ben i.m ing who asked iff i had a video cam ,, saying i didnt she talked me into buying one ,
so i did ,being p.c. stupid with the technology i managed to set it up ,, she contacted me again and i said id bought one ,she said show me ,i did ,then asked her to put hers on ,,she replied after seeing me she didnt have one ? but always come back every nite for a chat ,,me on cam her just typing ,,in the end wouldnt turn cam on for more chats ,,never used it sinse..
Ive seen a profile pick of her ,,or was it her , or how she looks now ,, big mystery to me ...
But like we have said ,,all a mixed bunch on these sites
