I don't have a fear of man when it comes to dating on my part.I will just take it one day at a time with a open mind,i feel that it takes time to fall in love with a person.I don't believe in love at first site, but i do believe in attraction at first site.
Well, it depends. First of all, how long is "a long while"? Days, years, decades?? And secondly, what's the reason for them not having dated over a long period of time? If a man was widowed, or had to go through a painful divorce, he might not have been ready to date again soon after. That's only human and there's nothing wrong with that and nothing to fear.

So what would be a wrong reason? What if chooses not to date?

Non of these, the worst are "Level 5 Clingers"..... always reminds me of the movie "wedding Crashers" We have a level 5 clinger, make a quick exit for the door
I chose NOT to get involved with anyone until I was free to do so and could give the time and effort it takes in establishing a loving lasting relationship. I had a career, which I was very passionate about and felt that I couldn't devote the time that a relationship requires. While I had 'social dates', I wasn't prepared to let it develop any further. Some may say that was 'selfishness' - perhaps, but I see it as caring enough about another person, whose life I would hate to make unbearable during that period. Sometimes, to love a person can mean letting go, and I don't think it's made me socially dysfunctional or incapable of entering a meaningful relationship.
