I didn't vote due to the reason that eventually if things go that far, you will end up using all of them.
For a start, right here in CS or any other site using their email, IM or forums.
If I don't know someone well enough, they don't get my personal IM, email or phone number

I had a real bad experience with identity theft. It makes me a little more cautious and suspect of others intent.
I prefer the CS e-mail until I really get to know someone. Then I'll send my pics and maybe use other methods of communicating. It's working so far so good w/CS. I met some really nice peeps who I share my more personal info with. It all started w/email visa-vie CS.

All I know is you've got to get out and meet people if you don't why would you consider online? when you can go outside and talk to random people and find an interesting person. however awkward it might be to first walk up to a stranger and say "Hi my name is.... And I think the way you hold yourself is very strong and encouraging could we have coffee some time?" Okay not that awkward but you get the point

The forums here are just fine, would be better if the IM is working ,but its okay as it is
So far I have no problem to talk exchange mails with people I met here on some messengers ( camera is important ) to see and be seen

i like the phone, you can always block peoples numbers, just call your provider its free, ive done it plenty of times not all for woman either, lots of spam calls from the same number for advertisements. The phone to me is more personal hearing a voice to a face a nice as well, and a conversation that might take a week through email takes an hour on a phone, lets you get to know someone faster.

I have met someone off here and at first we talked on skype for a few months and then things progressed we used all forms of communication
