karenmarie: wud english people wave a n irish flag if our president visisted them
No they wouldn't but on the other hand they wouldn't beat up someone who did either, or put a brick through their window, which is what would happen here.
karenmarie: wel i think the queen sud wear 2 shamrock and be givin a pint guiness.may do her good,
The Queen does wear a shamrock on Saint Patricks day to Commerate all the Irish men who died in the two world wars she also hand the Shamrock out to all soldiers who serve in Irish Regiment within the British Army.
Phoenix: So will you or wont you...As for your opinions, keep them on the other thread...I'm just intrested..
Will you stand in the middle of Dublin and wave the British flag with you kids....
Howya beardy...
The only thing ill be waving is a shotgun
But seriously dont care about her coming over only the extra cost it will entail, and no i wouldnt go see her and i wouldnt be waving a union jack, for the simple fact that im Irish!
Why would an Irish person wave a union jack? Would a unionist wave the tricolour? No they wouldnt they burn our flag every year in their bonfires dont they.

Plenty of so called unionists wave Irish flags at sporting events with no great problem.

Yeah they burn them every year, I saw a documentary on their bonfires on BBC before, they could be a few hundred feet high all made of pallets and a tri colour on top, It wouldn't annoy me, I would question why they burn our flag in the first place and the reason is because they feel threatened by the republic, They know they are on borrowed time
GalwayGuy35: Yeah i saw that programme as well, no respect for our flag. a**hole.
Not all British people are like that, that's only the Belfast Protestant underclass who do that, sure they hate us but that doesn't mean that everyone who follows the Union Jack does.

I know and i have no problem with them regarding themselves as British but it shows what a dislike some of them have for us on this part of the Island.
Burning the Union Jack is a futile exercise, and insulting the people of England, Scotland and Wales, since it is those three countries which make up the Union Jack. If one want's to insult the Royalty by burning a flag, then it would have to be the Royal Pendant - not the Union Jack
