nice_and_easy: but do u know according to studies.....they are just of the same level....this is a fact from University of Michigan.
I don't doubt that, but one difference is emotional pain is not as easy to ease as physical pain, especially if its heartbreak. It lingers and can actually affect our lives much more than physical pain.
chococherrie: my mom is one of them and sometimes the tablets just dont work!
Sorry to hear about your mom. An ex girlfriend had nerve pain and the nedicine only made her high. I rode with her in her car after she took her pills and she was all over the road and hit a curb around some trees in a parking lot and blew a tire. After that I drove every where. my friend

nice_and_easy: why it seems people can endure the body pain such as wound than of a heartbreak?
I would take body pain, any time. Heartbreaks take a long time to heal unlike other pain, at least there are medicines for that. Let's hope a cure is found for hearbreak......we should be so lucky

I would have to ask, how long the body pain would have to last. As you can see by past torturing wars, the body can only take so much before it breaks, not only in the flesh but in the spirit too.
Time will heal a heart, just getting thru the time is tough.
That is an unanswerable question for me because I have never felt the worst emotional pain that I could do,thank god,and never felt the worst physical pain that I could do. But,I think that I am able to deal with both adequately enough to try to avoid both when I can.

I can handle body pain well. as long as it doesn't bleed and bones aren't sticking out, I should do fine
heartache a little less, but when I think I truly loved a person so much, it hurts when he goes away, I find myself a better person because of this experience.
Pain is pain. Emotional and physical pain can both be detrimental. Actually, emotional pain can manifest itself as physical pain. Either way..they both suck and I avoid both.
Ther are three physical pains that are supposed to be the worst. Toothache, Gall Stones and Gout.
I've had two of them and I can tell you it is absolutely true.
Of those toothache was the worst and I don't regret having the tooth pulled to stop the pain. I wanted to die rather than suffer the pain anymore. Now I'm straight down to the dentists at the first twinge.
