Many thought direct contact was imminent during the Washington DC 'flap of UFO's that flew all over the city including the US Capital and White House between July 19th to July 20th, 1952 starting at Washington National Airport at night. During the day, over a dozen flew over the Capital, allowing for tons of photographs to be made, and analyzed. Later on, the FBI stated that it flocks of birds...the military said the same thing despite all the recorded pilot conversations and gun camera films.
Many again expected direct contact again on the night of October 21, 2010 when one large UFO appeared over the Potomac River in Washington DC, near the White House. It hung around for about 15 minutes while 2 choppers buzzed it, then shot off...perhaps no one was home...ah well...Contact has been speculated for years as more and more ex military people retired and published their experiences as the same with other agents of the US govt., naming the places and dates and those involved. Much the same situation in Europe with Russia being the sole exception, as their aircraft and artillery opened up on UFO's flying over Moscow...I guess that 'they' didn't feel welcome...

Given the above, why we believe they would visit us rather than each other is somewhat vain but, sooner or later, somebody with space travel capability will visit us or, we may visit them but to say that it will happen sooon is being over optimistic.
On the other hand, to the sci fi fans, any that do visit I doubt will be hostile as there is not much here that they could not get from other planets in our system and others. Water is common throughout our solar system as is iron and gold. The only thing they would receive here is a place where there is intelligent life and, more than likely not as intelligent as they are which makes the trip hardly worth the conversation.

Totally agree but this is supposed to be fun ... I've had lots of contact from very strange men who could well be aliens ... they have so little in common with any humans I know personally.

Science do have limitation --- like religion science also has a belief system e.g. quarks (quarks are the particles which binds protons and neutrons) it is an belief because no one can possibly see quark it is an concept but the measurements reveal that theory of quarks is compatible with the observation otherwise one cannot have explaination, if we do not consider existence of quarks
While religion says there exist God based on the observations around the univers which is deterministic. The idea of God is based on the belief (theory) that there must be a creator behind all the signs of the universe.
The similarities end here....
Although Science has a belief system but it never claim to explain unseen. Science deals with matter, matter which can be measured.
Religion talks about many concepts which are unseen to human which cannot be measured. The condition on which Religion tries to explains this unseen concepts, is to believing it.
For a rational mind it is very hard to accept the concepts of Religion because the mind does not allow it to accept it, because the mind is programmed to things on level of matter.
While for a religious mind, it is programmed to believe now it can go to extreme in believing anything and everything or believing only those things which still could be explained through his rational element of his mind.
In addition to that the religious mind or believing mind will believe that God has the power to refute all the laws of the nauture ( the very laws put by the God himself)
So the creation of humans (man and women or say adam or eve) it is God who is capable to do it and he just created it.
This is not acceptable to the rational mind who needs the more explaination. Because the rational mind do not see in his day today life or in previous histories that things happening just like that. There is a process to every phenomenon taking place.
So this is the origin of conflict between the Religion and Science.
Its conflict of a rational mind and believing mind .. the only rational thing to do I suppose is to keep a Balance between this two.

Read any or all of his books as to what the "scientific community has found, especially his book "Forbidden Science" Afterwards, there won't be even half the number of questions...

Jacques has impressive CV but he is more of a fictional writer you know fictional (not real).

There is high probability that the world like ours exists somewhere in the universe. If the pattern is followed such like our world than there is probability that this worlds must have life which may have evolved and just like our species the species in this alien worlds may trying to contact other worlds.
