lind I don't understand why it is so important to know Obama's faith?...it is a personal matter...remember the Kennedy clan...they were not accepted in their community due to their Catholic faith...did JFK's religion during his Presidency affect America?...some of the news we read is propaganda...some were afraid of Obama during election time...do you remember that silly old woman at the McCain rally?...
zman I am not against religion...some actually do help others in need...but we cannot ignore the fact that some of the religious hierarchy benefited financially and turned their cheek at illegal activities...
The purpose of my blog was the alternative you mentioned...it demonstrated that people use religion for their own purposes...not for the common good but to exploit people...
Thanks for your responses to the topic I put up for questioning...I just wanted to show that there are people that take advantage of religions to suit their own demented and sick needs...truly sad that these groups can cause discord among us...
calm I wanted to high light the fact that most people want peace...regardless of our faith...there are many who step beyond the line...but peace is what is needed...perhaps what people want is not what governments want?...
al it goes to show you that there are problems with any religion...or so they say...fundamentalism happens to be problematic...no matter what religion...

myna It could be used in medical situations where language is problematic...but I have a problem with any government tracking your whereabouts or purchases...electronic documentation is nothing new...you don't need an implanted chip to save trees...just a computer and an e-mail address... Privacy is needed above any technological advance...how many believe that a company or government respects your right to privacy?...
