TUPLDRF. I used to have a season ticket for a local football team but I noticed that as the wages of the players rose to a ridiculous level, so did the price of my ticket. And then the best players would sod off to play for another team, offering more money. Meanwhile, the fans were expected to show loyalty. In the end, I too sodded off but, unfortunately, no money changed hands in the process.
Well, molly, it could be argued that council workers fall into the same category as footballers in terms of their productivity and I suppose you could place a bet on which one of them is actually going to do something so there are some similarities to sport.
