Of course I'd be able to devour ALL that cupcakes ALL by myself!
Hmmmm..... Come to think of it, you might be right. There's a high chance that Hans has hacked those Face Puzzles scores coz you just can't possibly score the highest few times in a row, can you?!?!?
P.S Psstttt Catfoot, ok, ok, I'll share one cupcake with you since I made so many unrelated comments on your blog
He quoted Yeats to me once, in the beginning of our relationship.... 'Tread softly because you tread on my dreams'
Quoted 'If' by Rudyard Kipling when I asked him why is he still doing what he's doing at this age.
Several times he quoted a few chapters from 'The Little Prince' to me in order for me to understand him better.
However, I need to confess to you Catfoot, all these are totally new to me coz I never learn all these in school or ever interested in Poe, Yeats, D.H Lawrence and what have you not But because of Bob, I need to read up all these in order to get to know him more
I once told Bobikins the mistake I made during a heavy downpour. I decided to walk home without any umbrella and was wearing, yup, you guess it right...a white T-shirt!!
He immediately asked me to stop giving anymore details lest his imagination runs wild like 'a wild mustang in a prairie'! Too cute, he is
Oooohhhhhhhh Catfoot, I cannot agree more!! I try to instill on my kids good manners ever since they were very young. Always tell them that it's completely ok if they are not the smartest students at school or straight As students BUT they must possess good manners that I believe will carry them a long long way throughout their life
The Chinese has a saying ( loosely translated here ) when we come across rudeness or bad manners, 'No Teachings At Home' or like a Chinese friend of mine would love to say, " Father Mother never teach in the house!!"
That's why, I always warn my kids this, "Don't ever let me hear that I never teach you guys how to behave in a good way. If it ever come back to my ears that you have bad manners, you better watch out!"
Thankfully, my kids take my threat seriously. How I know? Simple, I checked with my friends!
Ooohhhhhh GG, you too had experienced grandma's love, just like me!
What I can tell you is that, their love is definitely different from the parents'. Even though the father of my kids and I are estranged now, I still never fail to bring our kids to visit his parents regularly.
They really dote on the kids and I love just that. I would not let the adult's problems hinder anything between them.
Btw, did you get to learn how to make those yummy apple pies?? Did your grandma pass down any secret recipes to you?
I'm only aware that my great grandparents ( both sides ) were from the Fujian province in China. That's all I know. I do know we have some living relatives back there coz my great grandma used to pay them yearly visits back in the 80's.
Again, why haven't we got any FB then?!?!? It would be so much easier to track those distant relatives but on the other hand, it would be difficult to get rid of those unwanted ones!!
Too bad I can't spend more time with her coz of the distance- 2 1/2 hour train ride. I'd try to visit her more often now coz my mom told me that she might not last for very much longer...
My toes no longer hurt, problem now is that they look really awful with the nails so short!
Were you parents from Austria originally? Did you go back since? Are there anymore living relatives that you know of? Sorry if i sound like an IRS interrogator! Too bad they haven't got FB way back then, eh??
No tow truck Hans, get me a bullock cart instead! Seriously, you still can get them here in certain parts of Malaysia
Pssttttt..you bet I did! I added a few more to my already impressive expansive 'swearing' vocabulary. Oh! And in few different languages toooo!
