I seldom drink but this weekend away in the country was a perfect opportunity for me to go ahead and enjoy myself.

No children to watch
No parents to monitor
No cars to drive
No responsibilities

Perhaps it was the country air which contributed it to,
but I was able to indulge liberally

With no side effects

You are so right . . . Forgiving and turning the other cheek is not easy to do . . . but during this time of the year it is easier to remember that Christ not only turned the other cheek . . . but also gave his life in atonement for our sins.
So in my mind . . . if HE could do that for me, the least I can do is do it for my fellow man/woman.

The trick is to remember it for the rest of the year.

And so we all keep striving for that pure Christ-like qualitiy in our lives
