I should explain.....my head is pounding today after a big party last night, and I wonder as I do every hangover....why didn't I have just a few less drinks, enjoyed myself just as much, but have less hangover.....confused
One of the many reasons I don't do it lol ... years ago, in my crazy youth, I loved to drink ... enjoyed the buzz ... however...it caused stupidity in my judgement, severely injured my knee by jumping off a 10ft wall (taking a "short cut")....not to mention, put me on the verge of alcohol poisoning. Alcohol.....This is why I "don't" do it. lol drinking wine beer cheers doh uh oh rolling on the floor laughing
Good reasoning! I drink FAR less than I used to, which is probably why I suffer more in the mornings when I have had a few. My job prevents me from drinking too much, and I certainly don't drink the night before a morning shift. But its that thought you have after a few beers...."one more won't make any difference...." and before you know it you've crossed the line.....doh
So typical of alcohol lol uh oh laugh
"Seemed a good idea at the time"
Correct Z!!! I NEVER do shots, and I dislike Tequila. So why did I have 4 tequila shots last night? WHY?????? doh frustrated

Shay, I would happily have shared some alcohol with you!! Even if it was just the smell of it!!!! hug
Too late for sharing... grin

Kidding aside, you are big boy, er man already you know what to do for hang-over I suppose. Feel better. -Mum-rolling on the floor laughing
Four tequila shots? laugh God bless you, silver giggle J/K grin

At least you got sober quickly to make a note to yourself that you'll have less drinks next time wine
Well, we think one more will make it more fun and lose the last hinders of going up to a broad to make the decisive move.
We even hope we'll be a more entertaining one, lol.
Thing is u'r at your peek of fun when u're halfway to drunkness.
Takes almost a lifetime to accept that "dull" reality mumbling

beer
lachi....I know mumbling
Morg...I didn't need any Dutch courage, I knew everyone there, all good friends of mine. I think that was the problem....caught in the moment! Spot on though, half drunk is perfect. So you know what you're doing, but you can't stop yourself!!! rolling on the floor laughing
thumbs up

I'd say half - 80%drunk. professor
Closer to 90 is dangerous and enything over 96% is impossible laugh

head banger
why do I do it because I like to feel numb...Most people drink for a reason to fit in,to kill pain,to have a good time,or to be part of the crowd....

becca

Haven't drank or smoked in 9 days, but a bottle of rum would sure taste good this morning...rolling on the floor laughing
Alcohol may boost your confidence higher if you're feeling tensed or nervous of something. I think so because my dance buddy asked my teacher if it was OK for her to have a bit of booze before getting on the stage and I think she took a sip of it grin

OK, got to confess...drinking with buddies is fun but make sure you come home with the sober one/s giggle
Lachi.. in order to make that happen one must keep going pretty far into the moring right... (to get a sober one with you home)..
are u suggesting to sleep abit in the bushes on the way home maybe?
-hand in hand sleep sleep

when waking up reunion and home you go
uh oh bushes? Luckily never ended up there grin blushing
Try it , its lovvly heart1
Lachi...actually I shared a taxi home with a girl from work and her boyfriend. He spent most of the journey with his head in a plastic bag.....just in case....rolling on the floor laughing

Becca, I know there are many people with the same idea as you. I guess everyone has their reasons to need to feel that lack of feeling, its good that you have managed so long without. Stay strong, and be determined. Life is better in full clarity bouquet
If the hangover is bad have one Bloody Mary will fix it right up....

cool
B
Lol Becca. I work as an air traffic controller....I don't think that would be a wise move!! rolling on the floor laughing
Then drop bloody and keep the mary.
Myabe because many of you are curios to see how it taste, hell shold i know, i do not consume to much only ocasionaly that means 2 times on a year. Or maybe once on my birthday..he he!dancing
i just love the buzz and helps me to relax after a stressful day at work
would be at best to get buzzed with bestfriends
good time, good laugh, good company cheers
Dave, CLEARLY you were in high spirits because of something or someone. Sometimes too much happiness makes you overly eager to the point of overdoing what shouldn't be. Think of it as a good hangover (if there is such a thing then you are the first to have onebeer ).. Besides, whats done is done. More next time? Cheers!frustrated cheers doh

Silverlining2: And I quote (I didnt read more than a few lines) well you answered your question I guess by saying that! And I quote (I'm pretty sure the bible (Gospel of John) relates the story of Jesus turning water into wine at the Wedding at Cana.)
Why did Jesus PBUH changed the water into wine?
You should have red the context and then given the post comment to prove your point which you didn't. Quoting out of context to prove your point is heinous. Anyways in short if you read the chapter in context you will come to know that there was a Wedding of Cana in Galilee, mentioned in GOSPEL OF JOHN Chapter 2 verse 1 going on in which mother Mary, Jesus PBUH with his disciples were invited. and during that wedding the wine got short and there were no wine left to serve to the people. So at that point the people forced mother Mary to tell Jesus PBUH to help us by changing the water into wine which if you read clearly Jesus PBUH rejected to mother Mary in the beginning but on forcing him through mother Mary unwillingly Jesus PBUH had to turn the water into wine. Jesus PBUH never wanted to do it Jesus PBUH was forced to do it unintentionally. So Jesus PBUH changed water into the best spiritual drink means (pious, holy, religious, purified) drink of all. Meaning purified drink Alcohol free wine it just tasted like wine looked like it but nobody got intoxicated of it. Still Alcohol is prohibited in the Bible. Yet you failed to prove your point. Because if you read the whole chapter nowhere it says that anybody got intoxicated by that spiritual (pious purified) wine of Jesus PBUH. Hope that answers your question.

to me having a drink is very enjoyeble and yes i also have a problym with modiration at times but i have found a way to bridge that.
at home i buy only enough to get me where i want to be,
and when going to a pub i take only enough for a pub lunch and enough beer lol.

@ amir. abrham got drunk and his sons made fun of him in his intoxicated state, apon witch god cursed his sons for that.
dont ask me scriptures or versus i am not sure.

drinking moderatly wont deny me heaven and doesnt make me less of a christian. the bible also said that you are alowed to drink in moderation but not to get drunk. "in dronkenskap le losbandigheid" in dunkenness lies sin or something like that.
Amir, how bout preaching about the effects of alcohol on impotency? We could learn a thing or two about that..professor yay
