RE: liars

Cat,

Very sad. Sorry for you.

It seems ridiculous to me, but I guess it happens. Usually it is a man being asked for money, but I guess that is how it works.

Never send anyone money ever. Oh, and don't send me a message calling me a handsome man when you have never even seen my profile rolling on the floor laughing

I have about 25 blocked profiles so far...I have only been here maybe 2 weeks.

cheers

The goal of this place is to meet in real life and take it from there....good luck to you Cat and hopefully things will be better.

RE: If a Blog was a dinner party

Don't forget the drunken uncle who keeps everybody laughing with his stories of his travels!

"There was this one time when I was taking the steamship to Ghana..."

RE: Any Good Single Men left out there?

I think Ariel nailed it. You are in a tough location, for starters.

Linking up online has a lot of variables, and like I said Ariel explained it pretty well.

Have faith, keep trying, and remember this website is not the only thing you should be trying! other sites, goin out to fests or gatherings, music, etc.

Be patient- being in a rush is how you end up with the wrong one anyway doh

RE: Roll Call - My Name is

My first two names are my father's first two names in reverse :)

Shay- you will be happy to know my real first name begins with J devil

If I ever change my name, it would break that connection, but I guess if I was in a situation that I had to change my name, it would be ok rolling on the floor laughing

RE: men and their insecurity ...

Carl- I think you nailed it. cheers

RE: Home

Shay,

However, my only other post in the blogs was about being immature, so sometimes tongue

You make a good point about self-happiness. I have just discovered over the years that I am the type of person that my partner's happiness is a BIG factor in my happiness, so sometimes I weigh that very heavily.

Of course, it must go both ways for it to work! cheers

RE: Home

Hi, Shay, I love this question and agree with many other posters. Home is where the heart is and in the situation you described, one party has to be VERY comfortable living someplace geographically they are not familiar with.

From my point of view, I am willing to do that to make my wife more comfortable if that is her wish. I am a very flexible person, almost a chameleon and can be happy most places.

If my wife is the same, they we are in business! If not, I can make the sacrifice pretty easily.

If one or both partners does not have the same attitude, the stresses of live will destroy what love there is; sorry just a fact :(
