Thank you all for your sharing. he stayed up all night to clear the misunderstanding and reach agreement. i know i was wrong in the ways i approached things and we failed to find harmonized ways to communicate clearly and gently too. We are good now. I feel more touched and firm about his love for me. Long distance relationship is hard but hope we will make it til the day we are together under the same roof

@Stemik62: lol yes, learning a new thing especially languages is not redundant. we never know when we need it and it just comes handy when time comes.

Thanks guys. I want to learn Spanish not cos it is compulsory. It's for sure instead is optional. But it's better to learn the language not only for communicating with people in CA but also traveling to Spanish speaking countries. Not to mention that I might have more chances to practise it in CA. Gracias

Molly, yes you are right when we look in depth into individual cases but I am asking for opinions at general scale. Like some of my friends say that there is much race discrimination in Europe while it is more dynamic and acceptance in US and health care in Canada is better than US, etc.
