And good for you Molly I know exactly what your saying, I read it and then re read it and went to comment and then thought nope...i could never be an activist lol....
@molly only here..... I could be working or out walking the dog, instead I'm now in the midst of discussing material, curtains, peep holes, m**turbation of any living creature, dead cats, and now secret bunkers...who ever said life was dull
Or that there aren't any burglars where you live lol! I leave the door unlocked, the windows open, I've left the keys in the car overnight, just depends on where you are and how exposed to other elements you are...the only bad thing that happened to me was I came home one day and the oil delivery driver had run over my cat on the drive....flat as a pancake...
I don't have curtains at my windows as I like the views I have ....my bedroom windows are sky lights so I just see the sun in the morning and the stars at night and no one can see in unless your a bird lol....I've thought about curtains but that would be for cosiness more than anything, but my fire and blanket in the winter suffices.... Each to their own....like the sound of your posh blinds map
It can indeed, I end up doing a lot of research on some of the items I buy, it's so interesting and often I think I can feel that they have had a past...weird I know lol!
I definitely think honesty is the best policy but have found that sometimes my honesty has put me in a vulnerable position as others that aren't quite so genuine have used it against me and played with my weaknesses etc! ie if I hadn't of been so honest, they wouldn't of known how to get to me....but I still believe in speaking from my heart so it hasn't stopped me yet lol!
Hey Johnny that's what I do now..buying from charity shops, car boots, auctions and house clearance etc! I've found some real bargains I love the fact that I never know what I'm going to find from one day to the next...
I love what you are trying to do here, create a stronger community unit, the foundations a little firmer. You have led a very interesting life and done some wonderful things for others. You should be proud of yourself, as was your wife by the sounds of it. Investing so much time and effort into others is a very selfless action, but actually in the long run it is actually very beneficial to our own souls and promotes self growth and understanding of people and life...you seem to be a very open and genuine person...I like that and thank you for sharing
I on the other hand am more reserved than you about my sharing my life story on the Internet but because of your openness and ability to share:in brief I have done a considerable amount of training in relation to children, behaviour, development, safe guarding etc. I've worked alongside childcare professionals as a support worker. I've volunteered for local self help groups and food banks and I've also opened my doors to several women over time who have been in abusive relationships. I have always felt the need to help others and have made some wonderful connections with people from all walks of life! My job at the moment has diverted greatly into buying and selling enabling me to work from home and be there at all hours for my children. But my true fulfilment professionally comes from being supportive to those who need it so my volunteering remains current....
RE: If You Ride
very important message track....too many accidents happen like this!
