RE: What I've been up to

Please don't ever lose the want or be dissuaded from sharing your creativity or the process that manufactures it, as many of us enjoy and almost need to see others "at it" so as to keep ourselves motivated.thumbs up

RE: What I've been up to

Har - Not being familiar with these types of things I imagine the programme requires quite a bit of understanding, study and experimentation to generate the simplest of animation - for some of us the joy is in the learning. Niavetomeetyou has got a BMW to look embarrassingly middle-aged cool in, though.

RE: As a public service

A culling of this particular herd may not necessarily be such a bad thing.

RE: As a public service

Jonestown, even.

RE: As a public service

Jones Town massacre jumps to mind - It wouldn't be much of a leap....

RE: SpaceX scheduled to launch 60 satellites today...

Space X is also launching Crew Dragon with its first human payload in May. Exciting times indeed.

RE: Dunning Kruger Effect: Why Some People Believe They Know More Than The Experts

Caitlin - I think it's possible they feel marginalised due to their lack of intellect so when an equally stupid individual gains some sort of status or prominence, they cling to and blindly support the person through trying to share the experience in some weird vicarious way.

RE: Dunning Kruger Effect: Why Some People Believe They Know More Than The Experts

There's also a condition called wilful blindness where people keep themselves unaware of facts that would render their position invalid or useless - many here sadly have adopted this state.

RE: My "How close is it to you" blog...

No excuse for not being aware of the level of lockdown and what it entails in Australia as it's in constant circulation.

A sneaky party held in what appeared to be a posh suburb yesterday was fined a total of $26000 in Oz. I don't understand how some people believe they're somehow immune from the virus or the law.

RE: Flip-Flops...

Fay, are you an indoor nudist?

RE: Flip-Flops...

chat - The old adage "you get what you pay for" applies (at least in my experience) here. The longevity of Havaianas far surpass any flip flop I've used over the years with a single pair able to go sometimes into their fourth year of use - and I'm in them daily for a period.

RE: Lets face it

Got there in the end.

RE: Flip-Flops...

Havaianas are the only flip flops for me.

RE: Lets face it

You don't do so bad ya self on almost every day. It's a challenge, albeit an enjoyable one.

RE: Lets face it

Some oysters need a strong shucking.

RE: Lets face it

A dish of fish lips.

RE: Lets face it

Wanton, even.

RE: Lets face it

The wontan soup is fab.

RE: Safe mode

Went Mac a couple of months ago and found the operating system completely intuitive and simple to use, not to mention the build quality of the machine - I've become a fan.

RE: Lets face it

viv - interesting observation.

Molly - of course. Nothing more appealing than begging as a foundation for a relationship. The dinner parties would be great - a veritable baggers banquet, if you will.

RE: Lets face it

That's just the generous kinda guy I am. batting

RE: Lets face it

Gotta confess, never been much of a back door man. If I'm begged...

RE: Lets face it

Her boyfriend?

RE: Safe mode

I've had ex's I wished had a safe mode. Imagine a Roomba vacuum cleaner with an attitude and relationship issues chaotically bouncing off walls and furniture while you're trying to watch the football.

I'll leave the adults to talk.

RE: WHAT ARE WOMEN REALLY LOOKING FOR?

Molly - I don't think I've ever met a woman more adept at side-stepping direct questions - you're good!

RE: WHAT ARE WOMEN REALLY LOOKING FOR?

What size are you? My birthday's coming up.

RE: WHAT ARE WOMEN REALLY LOOKING FOR?

Hopefully there's a rogue scientist that manipulates the coronavirus so that it only affects women. After all the women have been killed off, we will drink as much beer as we want, watch as much football as we like and finally get the freedom to wear soft silky negligees where ever we like..

RE: How it could happen

I've noticed on expat and travel forums I'm a member of that even some of the most vociferous of Trump's supporters have fallen quiet this last week - even they can't defend the buffoon any longer.

RE: Comfort Food

Hi fay. Mmm, comfort food. I've got a few delights to soothe the soul and pillow the emotions.

Hummus and cracked pepper crackers.
Greek dolmades and assorted olives.
Sun dried tomatoes with smoked cheese.
Not unheard of to eat a litre tub of connoisseur ice cream in one sitting.

RE: The Frigid Midgets

Yes, it should get a rise.
