I have been still trying to keep fit, I mean do some physical exercises, long walks, and start going to the gym. And I think about it every day but do it only once a week...
Hello Jana28, you are very often here. It is nice. As for Christmas preparations, I think simplicity is very good way of life. Do you spent Xmas in Bulgaria or sometimes travel abroad? I like the idea of buying book as a gift. During computer and internet era young people start to forget what it is a book.
Having doughter at home after 4 months abroad must be very joyful. You will have plenty topics to talk about. How old is your daughter?
You are going to a rock opera and the theater with family, what a great idea. I wish you all the best.
Hi buckeye1332, so you have already gifts for your parents. Great! Thay will be happy when they see the gifts. And you cook? Excellent! I wish you very happy Christmas.
Aswina Nitra, Can I guess? Are you an accountant deep in papers at December? Having a lot of work is really unwelcome before Christmas. I had the same last year so I sympathize with you.
shay28, thanx for the answer. Your family starts Christmas preparations in September? Oh LOL! The lanterns have to be extraordinary! How long is your Christmas season? What do you do during it?
I also like fresh Christmas trees. But I prefer them to grow in a forest or a garden. At home we put artificial one - from practical point of view. But at Christmas time I always try to collect some small fresh twigs and decorate them. They give smell of forest.
Jana28, if it could be so easy. Nowadays I try to join my heart and mind preferences and look for solution good for both of them. I will check this idea. It should take some months I think. Then I will have to take a decission which way to choose.
kdtrucker, yes rolling the dice would give the fastest solution. I am trying to roll it in one direction (the easiest one) and have reached extensieve stone wall. From my position I can't see where it ends and I could not jump over it. It is too wide.
itchywitch, thanks once more for your answer. Yes, it is really difficult. Maybe if the heart had got its mind it would have been easier to find an agreement between heart and mind. But it isn't. Contemplating this idea I decided to mobilize all my negotiation skills (which are equal 0 or 0,1 points in 10 points scale) and start up talks. I hope results will be enough satisfying to protect my head from receiving too many bumps and injuries.
sleepin_bird - thanks for a comment. I have made several steps back and found no idea. You mention heart role in decision taking. The trouble is when I choose way showed by heart it is completly different from the one pointed by logic. I can say it is the choice between heart and logic. I would like to prefer heart but logic says: "Do not do it. You will ruin your life." When I am choosing logic my heart stops me and says: "What about your feelings, emotions, nature". So, heart and logic from time to time talk to each other leaving me alone.
Repeating, repeating, repeating. That's the best idea in joining two or more languages. I have started repeating a little English and... I am surprised. It works. So, everything we need is hard work every day or simply abbility to repeat words, grammar, ect.
Hello Jana28, Yes, every language has its specificity and groups of languages also. Some of them are easier for particular group of people others for another group. Some of us really have talent to learn languages. Maybe for this talent is responsible their great memory? I know people who love English and hate German and inversely. Sometimes I wonder maybe it depends of the approach to a language. There was time whan I hated German and was saying I would never learn it. But now, German seems for me easier than French. The long words could be logical when we take into account they are parts of simpler words and der, die, das comes from the second half. I have not found method for der, die, das and memorizing the genders. But maybe one day I will do it.
French has very nice sounding. When someone speaks French it sounds for me as he would be singing.
Jana28 thanks for your answer. Do you really think that German is the most difficult. French has so many endings. French grammar I do not know. German grammar seems to me something similar to English but the most difficult are der, die, das and nouns, their declination and adjectives. This is hard to remember them. I am at the beggining of learning this language, maybe later I will see more difficulties.
It is very interesting what you write about bilinguality but I personally do not agree with the rule of groups of languages. I was trying to learn Italian (about half a year) and the structure of this language seemed for me easy to learn. French from the same group was so difficult for me that I left it and did not learn. German mixes with English, while Russian doesn't. Maybe I am atypical.
Thanks Aeterna for your answer. So does it mean that when we want remembering some languages we should repeat them every day or the most often as we can. It is a pity for me because I haven't enough time for it. Maybe, like you said watching videos and listenig audios could be useful. But I think at this moment the most useful could be having job where you have to speak some languages or translate them everyday in your job. Lucy those who have such a work.
Aeterna you speak Japanese - this is very different system of language. It must be really difficult to switch between it and English for example.
RE: What happened to your New Years resolutions?
Jana28 thanks for back-up. It must be the entropy
