Capital punishment or death penalty is not necessary for a country like Indonesia. There are so many islands, even uninhabitated, that all sorts of people who deserve it in the (blind) eyes of the law could be enclosed there and produce their own food and other stuff.
Just like Panama did it for example, and the Philippines, too, I guess.
