It is not just on the paper. Though the UN seems to be quite helpless in many cases there have been many actions military and humanitarian on behalf of these human rights. And even the german constitution is a mirror of the Universal Rights, though in everyday life may still missing some application.
How many people live in refugee camps for decades sustained by the UNO?
It was passed in Dec 1948, after WWW II and the Holocaust.
Some people may not like the gifts of modern civilization: way of life of middle, working classes which were often brought to them either by missionaries or war faring foreigners.
unspoiled in which way? U see e.g. DDT was found even in the Arctic and Antartica, though it was never sprayed there. But there are still lots of "unspoiled" places. Just think of national parcs in New Zealand, the mountains of Papua, Tundra and Taiga, deserts or uninhabited islands. Carbon dioxide is not really the problem. Plants would grow much better with a content ten times higher than nowadays. All the fixed CO2 in calcareous rocks will never be set free by human industries. Pollution is bad indeed when it comes to chemicals, plastic, radioactivity or smog. But organic farming alone does not keep people from developping cancer. Perhaps u can find out if this disease is unknown to uncivilized, wild people. But there r not many left.
To me pics r not so important. After I was almost brainwashed and had so many bruises I found the time to go to a forest area further away where I had been sometimes 30 years ago. With memories unforgettable as long as my brain works straight. Though I had forgotten quite a bit I found these places again and how to get there. This was quite nice. Even without pics.
"Today, she told me, she left it outside of her garage (she lives in big house with two garage. Another friend of mine who had it for the last two years moved to her place when she sold her house."
Sorry, I don't get this straight???
Who had it and who left it outside in the rain and why?

Thank u very much for the hint. Of course it would be intersting to me to see once in a lifetime such old growth stands, though there is an exotic forest 8 km from here with both giant and coastal sequoias. Not as old and big of course. More challenging seem to be the trails to the giant sequoia stands. But u will need lots of time, I guess to see more than a little bit. And Armstrong Reserve is only about 300 ha big.
pretty arrogant going to NZ in winter-time after having such a bad-a** winter urself. Perhaps u meet Beetlejuice II on a mountain playing with the Keas. Bring enough waffles so they do not eat u.
Perhaps u think my english is good enough, but it will never be good enough. And sometimes it is not easy for me to understand. It would even be harder when it comes to special expressions used and needed in professions and technology. Maybe u love a bear in minisoda? As u love everyone. Even ur fiance.
Germany is no paradise of truth and good conduct, though. It is estimated that about 500 judgements are wrong every year and people may stay in jail or mental hospitals for years or decades before their case is reviewed and they are released and get some compensation. If they are still alive.
