If u still have relations to a big family or clan living somehow in the old way I would not recommend to leave for this very different often awful "civilization" outside.
There should be many white men who would be quite happy to come to Papua, I guess.
So if "the State" or organizations like the Mafia use the citizens as "take-aways" things go in the direction of Tunisia, Egypt, Mali, Afghanistan, Kongo, SA under Apartheid. So many examples that u may think it is just the usual and normal way of life.

E.g. the fishermen in the EU r throwing everything back dead which they may not catch or which can't be sold in the markets. A real fisherman "The Old Man and the Sea" tries to catch without destroying the whole thing.
