yes it is, but each govt is ruled by brussels or hasnt it got through to the vorarlberg yet. The guidelines are laid down by the eu, how each country puts it into practice is left to them.
Th only common sense country left within the enclaves of the EU is Sweetzerland, only a question of how long. They signed the schengen agreement which allows free passage to EU citizens. But they still control who comes in and who leaves using other modalities ie more frequent customs controls etc. Whilst all other border posts in the EU are either deserted or demolished.
I agree, its all down on the dealers. 10 year ago the cost to produce a VW golf was € 1850 ie cost.The dealer paid € 4000 to VW. You and i had to pay 12000 € on the bottom line. On average, the dealers had 35 - 40 % profit margin. At that time the German Govt, legally limited the discount to a max of 3% that a dealer could legally allow. Now discounts of upto 15% or more are possible.
This scrapping premium on offer at the moment is just a joke anyway, its only valid for one year, approx 600.000 new car buyers may profit from it or until the funding has run out.
basically its taking the piss out of the public by making them think the govt is giving them something. Watch out, they will take it back double and treble later on in the year.
yes weddy all well and good, the idea is first rate, but you have forgot the EU government. they say equal rights for all europeans no matter where they come from. Foreign workers, especially those from the ex eastern Europe countries dont earn much ie , Romania, Bulgaria etc, they only have a monthly wage of around 350 - 400 Euros.
yes there are jobs that could be filled by a countries own if their own people would only do the jobs, mostly they wont cos thewages are to low, or for what ever reason.
In one industry, the basic wage is approx. 20 Euros/hour. In come the east europeans and offer themselves for 8 euros/hour. Pretty obvious who gets the jobs.
