Hi Weddy, yes i know the laws in the uk as i also have a shotgun licence for skeet shooting but unfortunately the police dont treat the applications quite as they should. And the requirements needed to obtain one are no where near as strict as other countries in europe (skandinavia excepted). You only need to go to romford, and can buy a firearm almost over the counter with no questions asked. So like i said in my previous post, no matter how tight the laws are those who are hellbent on having a forearm they can get one.
Ok, i dont know how long you haved in Germany, i lived there for 31 years, there is a social aspect in germany called the Schützenverein, remove that from the german calender would be like taking the Independance day aways from the yanks. I have a Waffenscheinwhich means i could if i wanted to, carry a firearm in public. I also have a Jagdschein which is also a social aspect in Germany. The criteria to obtain either of these is so strict when you finally have it, you aint going to jeopardise it . All these crimes committed in schols are done by scholars who had access t weapons of sort, normally from their parents. I would suggest that the parents as well as the scholar should be scrutinised. The fault is in the social system not the gun laws
Saying No is the best you can do. If he behaves like a maniac then you have the answer. And if he starts stalking dial the cops, call the mafia whatever. Let them sort him out.
The firearms laws in Germany are some of if not the strictess in europe. If someone wants to waste a bunch of people then they will whether the gun laws are loose or tight.
This unfortunately is not the last example that will happen in germany or any european country. Maybe if the media didnt make such a hype out of it, then the future perpurtrators will realise that they dont get the media recognition they maybe looking for.
Well start now and save yourself some grief and stress for the future. if it is as you think it might turn, and you dont want it to then say No in the beginning, saves you any future trouble when the evening goes wrong.
i agree with the above and mention in addition the legal aspects od if school letterhead was used and the fact that the pta are threatening to resign etc etc. PTA are replaceable, so they dont achieve any objective by using blackmailing or threatening behaviour.
Still it isnt nice to hear from the school that they are not going to spport a memebr of their own pta in these times of distress etc.
