Well...I did have just 5 but then these two pillows at the store said they wanted to go home with me and who am I to refuse such cute things? So one body pillow on one side, two under my head and four on the other side....ah! Comfort!
We do love jamming out to the music! And it does not bother us if people laugh or point. I always figure that they just don't know how to let loose and have fun. Life is way too short to always be serious.
My sister and I dance and sing along to the music in the car as we cruise down the road; dance and sing as we get out of the car and if we are stuck in long lines, well, we start dancing if the overhead music is good or we practice some hula. People might look at us strangely but the way I figure it, by having fun maybe we made other people smile...or run away from us really quickly!
Moose roast is delicious! Slow-cooked, dutch oven, potatoes, carrots, onions (the only time I will eat onions) and some light simmering with water....mmmmm! I will have to have my brother-in-law send me some moose from Alaska when he goes hunting this year.....
I remember the first time my grandpa saw snow...he came from Hawaii to Utah for a visit (Christmas time) and he was more excited about playing in the snow than we kids were. We made snow forts, threw snowballs at each other and had the greatest time....
I never saw a firefly until I came east...I was so amazed by them! I was in Kansas visiting my sister and her family and I saw these little blinking lights. My niece and nephew showed me how to catch them...it was one the greatest evenings.
I just read in the news that Solomon Burke passed away at Amsterdam airport:
Solomon Burke, the larger-than-life "King of Rock and Soul" who was revered as one of music's greatest vocalists but never reached the level of fame of those he influenced, died early Sunday at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. He was 70.
Born to the sound of music in an upstairs room of a Philadelphia church, Burke was acknowledged as one of the greatest soul singers of the 1960s, but his popularity never matched that of contemporaries like James Brown or Marvin Gaye.
He did have a great voice and traveled all over the world singing and bringing his music to 'the people.'
