Any time i've watched 9½ weeks I've never paid any attention to the story line. I didn't kim left Mickey.. As for Bon Jovi, he's a bloke and one dqy he'll tell his friends..
I only cheated on her once or twice I needed lovin' and it wasn't nice I didn't mean to break her heart in two I wont repeat it I only cheated, whats a man to do?
Tiny, you do understand Johnny Cash sang about his relationship with drugs when he sang 'Hurt' and nothing to do with fail marriages or other?
I never claimed he wrote it. I spoke about why he decided to sing it and his interpretation of the song. Deffo not the same ball paark. Please learn to read.
Don't try to twist my words. Better than you have tried and failed. As I said my weekend officially started 10mins ago and I'm not wasting it playing verbal tennis on a forum with you..Have a nice life..
I think you'll find a lot of people care one way or the other..(BTW you always take the bait..Bit like a fish and everyone knows fish aren't the smartest beasts on this rock..)
The song Hurt was about Johnny's battle with drugs. His first encounter with drugs was when he was still picking cotton as a pup in Arkansas. He has actually admitted that BTW...Don't blame me I'm just the messenger.
I'd advise you to read his own life story he penned. Sofar, I was listening to Johnny Cash before you had even heard his name.
@Tiny,
Why didn't you choose another song such as 'There you go.., Cry, Cry Cry..Jackson...........?
I only make bets where i don't lose. You have maintained all along I'm not from Ireland but from the UK..
If the o6c isn't part of Ireland then why say this..
You admit Britain is in part of Ireland. But on the Irish forum you say, the o6c isn't part of Ireland, not Irish etc...? What part of Ireland are Britain in..
Is the bet/wager still 1 euro, I'm not intrested in your money..Just the principal. After you come on here and say, 'Sorry folks, I was wrong and and much as it pains me to admit it Phoenix was right'.......?
Snowny, before I sign off, we had this conversation many months ago when you spouted the same line about 'if the troubles kicked off again how they would affect me more than yourself',again by the very fact all of my sibblings & both parents live in or very close to Belfast.
Show me once (directly re-quote me and paste a link to the quote) where I said i want a war of any kind. Just once snowny.
Baiscally wade I got banned becuase on the UK forums I was called an IRA terrorist. And on the Irish forums I'm called a British what ever. Neither are true.
I emailed the mods a few times and explained the situ. they accepted my explanation.
No Wade. I asked sofar to simply check his fact out first by contacting the BELB (Belfast Education and Library Board) and also catholic maintained schools in the o6c and ask what was and wasn't taught. I thought that was easy to grasp.
This is what I think Wade, you are looking for either a free pint, road trip or both at my expense. And as for snowy and sofar, they get fact and fiction mixed up to the extent they can't tell the difference.
Sofar, I'll make it easy for you. Open up a thread and I'll debate why I'm Irish like you. And a good place for you (and snowny) to start understanding the complexities of Irish history is by watching from episdoe one of Robert Kee's 13 part series on Ireland. Here's the link..
You got it right first time around. I leant Irish history in school, as for the Irish lang. thingy, up until 3rd year we were taught Irish..Then the teacher who was teaching Irish lang at my school went AWOL..I can't be held fault for that. I was a pup....Many, many months ago you told me you know about Irish history and I asked you to open a thread and debate it. You haven't. I think I gave cut off point around the time of the flight of the Earls, we could go back further if you want or bring it foward to any century you want.
Do you honestly believe Charlie H and the monkeys in Leinster house are paying their due tax?? If you do, are more naive than I thought. Indirectly I have helped the Irish economy by the simple fact I employed Irish people while working in Paris and some either sent money home or used the money they earned to go back and have hoidays.
Like snowny you seem to a bit of a dissident. Now again as much as it pisss you off and no matter how hard it for you accept..Fact is I'm Irish.
If what you said was clear, trust me i wouldn't have asked you to explain what you actually meant.
I understand why they (republicans) used violence. I can even explain it.I think it would go over your head. You have a selective version of Irish history( deffo between 1968-1998). I very rarely hear you mention about the security forces killing innocent people in the o6c.
The Miami showband killings, Bloody Sunday, BallyMurphy massacre..I could name loads of innocent people targeted by loyalist death squads who were controlled by the BA/RUC/Mi5.....
As far as you and others a concerned it was only republican violence and the British were caught in the middle and the RUC just wanted to walk the beat like coppers are meant to..
Yes, I called you what you are fools. While the British army no longer patrol the streets in their uniforms, they do drive around in unmarked cars and patrol. They still carry out surveilence on every area (some more than others), there is still aprox 5000 BA stationed there..MI5 have an almost new shiny building just outside Belfast. The o6c is very much under occuption.
Now, can you again explain why you said I am not Irish but I am waging war on my fellow country men?
RE: Something soppy ^^ (so cynics stay away :P)
