I DO live here ......most of my life in Calif ....and this thing is a Republican driven sensationalized issue to draw attention to them ! Sure, there is a problem ....but not like it's overwhelmingly new and recently enhanced ....
It's only important Right Now - so Republicans can draw attention to themselves before Nov with attempt to show that they controlled something ( Imigration )
I some parts of the US , a lot of our Emergency rooms are overwhelmed because our "USA citizens" are broke and can't afford health insurance. Health care is too expensive for ALL of us .........not just Illegals

Yes, drug needles, tattoos, piercings, and any other blood to blood transmission .......colonoscopies without proper sterization, nurses somehow sharing intravenious equipment , etc etc
I work with a group of doctors and HCV support groups in Calif. The doctors are the nation's top Hepatologists . We have recently began a program through UC Davis Ca to reach-out to people and kids to enlighten them on the dangers of HCV infection
Sorry, mucho typos ....but you get the idea .....the problem is Hepatitis and other blood borne infections that nobody takes into consideration . Kids think it's cool - because adults do it

My gaol is to inform kids not to tatto themselves or pierce themselves unless it's done under supervision by parents and through a reputable parlor that knows the facts. too many lids are attending tattoo parties and sharing needles and ink and piercing equipment etc ...... HCV infects hundreds of thousands of people every year
