I have made so many mistakes that I have plenty to share with others, lol. I think that is why my meetings are so fun. We all get together to share our strength, experience and hope. We all hope we never get well because we like sharing. I love self-help groups. I hope everyone gets to experience the love of them. There is nothing like being yourself and being accepted for who you are and not for who someone else thinks you should be.
I love camping. I love being one with nature. It reminds me of my hitch hiking years. Camping and hitch hiking, totally awesome. The open road with a friend, so cool. So much to see and wonderful places to stop at. I like it better than the mall. I would rather go to a flea market or yard sale than to a mall unless there is something there I want. Walking hand in hand with a friend and living the experience instead of watching it on television, in a book or the computer. Being free but not alone either. Taking the good with the bad because it is all part of the living experience. I want to live this life first before I worry about another one.
Maybe something nice about him that you would not like to admit. Mine was a real sweetheart when she wanted to be but then she would spend time with her mother and her personality would change. Did that ever happen to you?

Since I have met someone off line. I would like to change the pattern of past relationship of jumping into a relationship just because it is available. Just the word 'available' has taken on a new meaning to me. I never really did any long term dating before. I would really like to try that and really get to know the person. I have had compatible relationships before a real buddy is important to me. A real buddy after the honey moon period to me seems important. To actually have the honey moon period to continue seems interesting.

Hi, ya, Apes! Long time no see. How ya been? Hey, you still rock. I found a friendly neighbor, lol. When you coming out of the bath? Jeez, that must be some scrubbing bubbles you got there, lol. I like Mr. Bubbles, too, lol.
Yes, things worked out beautiful. We shared a lot of things. We didn't put any pressure on each other. I took her out to a Chinese restaurant and I pigged out while she just ate a little. I held her hand all the way to the restaurant and we both talked of things we both missed. It was some real heart to heart stuff. I didn't make her self conscious of her weight. She told me right off the bat that she was working on it. I told her I had to lose weight because my doctor said if I wanted to live after that first heart attack I had to lose the weight. It was either that or die. Was really amazed me is that she is a psychic and made the top 225 psychics list. She told this lady who called her line that there was this one slot machine that had an angel on it. The lady took her advice and won 25,000 dollars on the second pull. Barb told her that to walk out of the place after that or she would lose all the money gambling. I have never dated a psychic before and thought it was cool.
What was hard was the tough love the night before, though. She said her former husband who had died had came to her in a dream telling her she had to let go and try again to get a mate. She told me that my Dottie who had loved me would want me to let go and try again, too. She said as long as I held to the past that there wouldn't be any room for a new mate. She told me she kept her pictures for her kids but had them all locked away. She said she tried looking at them but it only hurt and that I should stop looking at the pictures, too. She showed a lot of compassion even though she understood where I was coming from, too. I told her about friends who have been here for me and how we try to encourage each other when we are down. She told me she is waiting for them to install her phone line in the new place but was putting her computer back together when the phoneline should work by Wednesday. I found out why she would not sit with me on the couch because that couch really is hard to sit on, lol. She says hse is going to get rid of that couch as soon as she can, lol. She did later sit on it but we had a hard time getting her back up from it. I hate those hard worn out couches. Freaking things give you a crick in the neck. I would rather sleep in the freaking dog house than on one of them couches, lol.
I was just discussing this very issue with a friend, Saturday. She says when she gets real mad it is easy for her to reflect on what mad her mad and when she has cleared her head it is easier for her to deal with the problem. Later we discussed the deaths of our mates we we both loved dearly. When I went to see her I was late from helping out another friend but she was just glad that I got there in time to help unload the truckload of furniture. We put up her kingsize bed after rearranging it a couple of times. Her son said he was glad to see me. If you have studied foreshadowing you could see where this is the first clue in a series of clues or hints that was given to me. While watching several movies and holding this friend's hand her son said that he sleeps on the couch. This would be the second hint. I kissed her about three or four times in an effort to share her chapstick since I thought she had extra to spare. She said she hated sleeping alone on such a big bed. This would be the third hint. So I fell asleep on the couch while thinking of a lot of things we discuss on here like communication, honesty and trust. Later the next morning I said the couch was kind of uncomfortable and she said why didn't you come sleep with me. I moved close to the wall so you would have plenty of room. By this time I beggining to think this last remark is not a hint, lol. But then her son comes in and said why didn't you just go sleep in the big kingsize bed with mom. I am beginning to think communication should be more than just with one's self by this time, lol. So we are moving more furniture in and go after another trip. By this time I am so tired and just go lay on the big bed since no one else was there. I feel this person getting in bed with me and thinking well she is just tired, too. So I put my arm over on her to get more comfortable in a place that should be ok. But she moves my hand, hmmm, to a softer place, lol. Needless to say the nice made up bed had pillows and covers on the floor. Before I left she reminded me that the bed was more comfortable than the couch with a sly grin on her face. She also said come back any time you like. Later I drove off into the sunset with her waving at the door just smiling away. After careful analysis I have to agree that communication is important.
