RE: What's everybody think of wave?

Wave has ridges and is better than pringles. Wave is good for dipping.

RE: The Road to Self Destruction

This thread will self destruct in t minus 59 seconds. This is mission control. Everything is AOK. We are ready for lift off. Houston we have a problem. We forgot to fuel the rocket.

RE: The Road to Self Destruction

The only way to truly win the game is not to play the game. If you win the argument but lose the other player or lose the argument but still lose the other player it is game over and you both lose.

RE: THE BLAME GAME....

we are siamese if you please we are siamese if you don't please, lol.

RE: THE BLAME GAME....

Beautifully said, Laurie. :) To learn from mistakes make mistakes a learning thing. To help others really helps us. The teacher learns from the student to become a better teacher and the student learns from teacher the joy of learning.

RE: THE BLAME GAME....

I know that can happen, Laurie. One should only have to credit for their own mistakes. I know I have made plenty of them but I think the thing about being human is that we all make them. I learned in rehab how to make amends. Making mistakes is part of growing up but to buy into someone's else guilt trip can make one a martyr. One doesn't have to take blame for everything. One can be passive and let bullys control you or one can be agressive and be the bully. There is a problem with both ways. Assertiveness is the best way and helps in communication. My counselor helped me a lot. I am a big man but to take advantage of someone else in a physical fight belittles me. I got the hell beat out of one time by a little guy and all his little friends once, lol.

RE: THE BLAME GAME....

To err is human to forgive is divine.

I think that is awesome. I love to write, too. I love it when I can write and it just flows without a writer's block.

RE: Fear of Commitment....myth created by women?

I believe fear of committment is a real fear. Once one has committmented themselves to something there can be a fear that they can't back out. I have also heard the term referred to as 'cold feet'. Some committments can be very costly in different ways. One may believe that once they have made a committment they can lose their own identity or sense of self. One should make sure before one enters a committment that it isn't a binding contract unless both are bound by it.

RE: Fear of Commitment....myth created by women?

I have been committed to rehab before so committment does not bother me. I figure they got their straps and I got my straps. Hey, we can both go crazy together.

Imagination's Friend
by RainbowSlider

Winter springs and Summer falls.
I am caught in the wonder of it all.
I imagine I am a young boy again
with big eyes taking it all in.
Throwing snowballs with my friends.
Life is full of lets pretend.
I imagine I am a young teen.
The flowers bud like wild flowers.
Pretty girls caught in April showers.
Childhood dreams still on my mind.
I am captured in a moment of time.
I imagine I am a young man.
The harvest is ripe in the fields.
The hay barn is full of all my yield.
I watch the children play.
It is nice to rest at the end of the day.
I imagine I am an middle-aged man.
I dwell in the Autumn mist.
I take notes and make a list.
I take long walks and like to dream.
Taking long drives and getting lost it seems.
I imagine I am an old man.
Life is still full of imagination.
Winter is still a form of discontent.
I work at my job and pay my rent.
I think of being a child again.
I love spending time with my friends.

Thank you, hon. The feeling is mutual, dear.

RE: psalms 23:4-5

I have been fascinated with Genesis 2:17 and the whole chapter of Genesis 3.

Knowledge of good and evil. You would think it would be to one's benefit to know the difference. I know the couple disobeyed a direct order but just one mistake, huh? Have you ever raised a child and expect them not to make one mistake? Fascinating reading to me, anyways.
